Benante said the following about the album:

“Back in February of last year with COVID and all the other B.S. that was going on, I was glued to the 24-hour news cycle on the TV and my phone, and I started to get really depressed. My girlfriend said I needed to turn off the news and suggested I do something creative, whether it was art or drumming or writing new songs, and she was right.”

“I knew a lot of my musician friends were going through the same thing I had been, so I started asking them if they wanted to get involved, play some songs with me, maybe make a video – that’s how it all started.”

“This isn’t a solo album. This is a record of my favorite songs done with some of my friends during a very dark time. We found a shining light and this is the result of that light. I was really happy that my musician friends came on board and helped make this record what it is. I appreciate all of them, and they all did such a fantastic job. Despite all of the darkness we’ve experienced this past year, there are ‘silver linings,’ that’s why I chose that title for the album.”

The record’s first single, Benante’s “Run-DMC Medley” with Darryl “DMC” McDaniels (Run-DMC), Rob Caggiano (Volbeat, ex-Anthrax), and Roberto “Ra” Diaz (Suicidal Tendencies), can be found below:

Kuarantine (Fozzy, Etc.) Share Video For Cover Of KISS’ “Love’s A Deadly Weapon”

Kuarantine, the KISS tribute band featuring Chris Jericho (Fozzy), P.J. Farley (Trixter), Joe McGinness, and Kent Slucher, have premiered a new video for their cover of KISS’ “Love’s A Deadly Weapon.” You can check that out below: Jericho commented:

“After the huge response to the first two Kuarantine singles and the hundreds of thousands of views and streams they accrued, we agreed it was time to release our next magnum opus, ‘Love’s A Deadly Weapon’. It’s heavy, trashy, proggy and most importantly, catchy AF! So cuddle up to your Valentine and enjoy the filthiest love song ever… You’re welcome.”

Watch Charlie Benante (Anthrax), John 5 (Rob Zombie), Etc. Cover KISS’ “All The Way”

Charlie Benante (Anthrax), John 5 (Rob Zombie), P.J. Farley (Trixter), and Joe McGinness (Kuarantine) have teamed up for a quarantine cover of KISS’ “All The Way.” Benante said the following about that:

“KISS Alive was missing one song and that song was ‘All The Way’. I always thought this song had such a great chorus, makes you wanna rock from side to side (in that KISS way). I would love to have heard it with that “Alive” sound. We tried to make this as close to the original as we could. Thanks again to Joe McGinness, P.J. Farley and John 5 for doing a KILLER job on this. Special thanks to TOM K78 we used @gibsonguitar and a bunch of other stuff because we wanted the best.”

Kuarantine (Fozzy, Etc.) Team Up With Bruce Kulick For Cover Of KISS’ “Heart Of Chrome”

Kuarantine, the KISS tribute band featuring Chris Jericho (Fozzy), P.J. Farley (Trixter), Joe McGinness (Klassik ’78), and Kent Slucher (Luke Bryan), have teamed up with Bruce Kulick for a cover of KISS’ “Heart Of Chrome.” You can check that out below:

Jericho told Revolver the following:

“We were pleasantly surprised and stoked to hear the huge reaction to our first single ‘No, No, No’! So what can a band that specializes in non-make-up KISS songs do to top that reaction with their second single? How about tap the guitar player from that era to join the band? That’s exactly what we did when we asked former KISS axeman Bruce Kulick to join us on ‘Heart of Chrome’ — and he crushed it!

‘Chrome,’ from the 1992 album Revenge, is one of the most underrated songs in the KISS Katalog and one of the hardest to sing! Even Paul Stanley himself said to me, ‘If you can sing that song in the original key, with the original melody, then you have completed quite the task.’ So that’s what the band and I did! Plus, having Kulick onboard to lend his signature tone and soloing style, made the tune even more rifftastic! See kids, there’s always a positive in every negative: Only in a pandemic can you form a KISS cover band with the ex-guitar player from KISS and end up with a kickass song!”

Watch Charlie Benante (Anthrax), John 5 (Rob Zombie), Etc. Cover KISS’ “Mr. Speed”

Charlie Benante (Anthrax), John 5 (Rob Zombie), P.J. Farley (Trixter), and Joe McGinness (Kuarantine) have teamed up for a quarantine cover of KISS’ “Mr. Speed.” Benante commented:

“This has always Been a favorite from the Great “Rock and Roll Over” album. According to Paul: It’s was written about having all the lines and know-how to pick up a woman quickly! Here is a fun version of a KLASSIK song! Thanks to John 5, PJ and Joe”

Kuarantine (Fozzy, Etc.) Share Video For Cover Of KISS’ “No, No, No”

Kuarantine, the KISS tribute band featuring Chris Jericho (Fozzy), P.J. Farley (Trixter), Joe McGinness, and Kent Slucher, have premiered a new video for their cover of KISS’ “No, No, No.” You can check that out below. Jericho told Spin the following about the project:

“This is how you can form a band in the COVID era. You have four badasses singing and playing this era of rock and roll from one of the biggest bands in the world that no one ever focuses on this part of their career. It’s cool and organic. Had there been no COVID, this never would have taken place. And gives a little shot in the arm to a scene that’s a little bit stagnant because of what’s going on worldwide.”
