10. “The Last Time” (The Rolling Stones cover)The Damned commented:
“The Damned would proudly like to announce the release of a new studio album titled “Not Like Everybody Else”.
The LP is a tribute to the late Brian James and each tune has been chosen because they were by artists that had an impact on Brians guitar playing and in turn his songwriting and in turn the Damned as a band.
The album is made up of 10 tracks which we recorded in just 5 days at the end of a hectic US tour, which made the timing perfect – we were in exactly the right frame of mind to give it our all.
Dave Vanian, Paul Gray and Captain Sensible were joined in the studio by Rat Scabies, who hadn’t sat on the Damned drum throne for 30 years and what a difference he makes.
“Not Like Everybody Else” also has an irony not to be missed as track 10 is the encore that we recorded at Hammersmith Apollo on 29 October 2022 and is a live version of “This Could Be The Last Time” which sadly it was, as it was the very last time Brian played on stage with the Damned.

The first single to be released on 30th October is R Dean Taylor’s classic “There’s A Ghost In My House” delivered with the unmistakable energy and dark charm that the Damned do so well.
Pre-save now: https://damned.lnk.to/TheresAGhostInMyHousePR
The track will be accompanied by a music video directed by award winning director Gilbert Trejo which was filmed during the recent US tour & will also be released on 30th October.
To go along with the hubbub of a new album and by way of shameless self promotion the Damned will be playing a one off exclusive show featuring said album and probably a few other covers thrown in at the Albert Hall, Manchester on the 28th January 2026.
It promises to be an unforgettable night honouring Brian James and the band’s shared musical history.
Now for the hard sell –

Lee Gaze Says His New Project Is “More Like” Lostprophets
Lee Gaze has shared some more information on his new project. According to him, the music will be similar to his old band Lostprophets, which infamously came to an end due to the crimes of recently murdered pedofile Ian Watkins.

Gaze had the following exchange:
Fan: “Can’t wait. Sounds a bit rockier/heavier than No Devotion?”
Gaze: “More like my old band”
He continued:
“It has tracks as heavy as Ride and as poppy as Last Summer. An eclectic mix”
He also added:
“700 new followers 👋🏻 I’m slowly trying to refollow all, maybe that will change my algorithm for the better. For those that missed it, I spent the last year writing a record that sounds like the music I’m probably most known for. I have ten songs and we are in the process of mixing some tracks to send to a potential singer. Stu is also involved. Hoping to release this in 2026.”
