  • Final Gasp Premiere “The Apparition” Music Video

Final Gasp have premiered a new video for their new song “The Apparition.” This track is from their new album, “New Day Symptoms,” which will be released on February 27.

Frontman Jake Murphy commented on the single:

“[It’s] a story of reality being much more horrifying than fiction. It’s about a captain and his crew on a small boat. A storm came and capsized it and he and his two crew members were forced to swim to some sort of safety. Ultimately only he survived, having to watch his two friends be taken away by something that could have been avoided. He knew a storm was coming but thought they could make it. It’s all about bad timing and facing the consequences.”

He also added the following about the album:

“I think we’re still figuring it out, to be honest. It’s like most things when you start out you have a vision and stick to it, we just quickly realised we could do so much more with it. We blossomed into this group of people that all have similar influences, but see them from different perspectives. We could hear the band beginning a new chapter.”

“It got me personally more excited, because everything was on the table and everyone’s ideas were blending together really well. Naturally we still rely on what we’re used to, but this time we let ourselves explore different tones. And we were all so open and receptive to each others’ ideas that writing and recording this record was more of a collaboration. Having Arthur (Rizk, producer) produce this record opened even more ideas to us. Everyone was together at all times for a week while recording this, whether it be at the AirBnb working on songs, or working on them in the studio. It was a total hands-on, involved process between all of us.”

“With this one, I didn’t want it to be as personal. But then reading the lyrics back, I ended up feeling differently about them – they were personal on a different level. A lot of these songs are written from an outside perspective, what could’ve happened if things were different, but ultimately it didn’t end that way. You can’t change what’s already been done, so you just have to move on. It just means it’s a part of who you are now.”

“It’s exciting to have the record out. I think this is an evolution of the band and we’re just going to keep writing music that inspires us. We’re going to continue moving forward – you can’t stay in the same place forever. That’s the message of this record and it’s there to resonate for people who may not feel it’s possible.”

    “New Day Symptoms” Track Listing:

    01. “Eternal Silence“
    02. “Look Away“
    03. “The Apparition“
    04. “Gifted Shame“
    05. “No Hand To Lead“
    06. “Prediction“
    07. “Burials Of Birth“
    08. “Fractures“
    09. “New Day Symptoms“
    10. “Pale Sun“

  • Coalesce Part Ways With Guitarist Jes Steineger, Cancel European Tour

Coalesce have parted ways with guitarist Joseph “Jes” Steineger. As such, their European tour has now been cancelled. This news comes after Steineger was recently accused of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with one of his students at Lindenwood University.

    Coalesce briefly commented:

“Coalesce has parted ways with their guitarist and, as a result, will be unable to fulfil the upcoming shows.”

Steineger also issued a statement to Lambgoat:

“I made the choice to step down as guitarist of coalesce.

The public attention surrounding my personal failures has become too heavy a burden for my family and loved ones, and I need to step away from public life to focus on accountability, repair, and healing, which I am now doing professionally.

I accept responsibility for my choices and for how they have impacted others. At the same time, the matters that have been made public deserve to be addressed in a private, professionally mediated setting, with restorative healing and reconciliation as the goal, not public spectacle.

I ask, unequivocally, that no one harass or attack any individual connected to this situation. Please do not contact them to direct anger or cruelty in my name or the name of the band. That behavior is unacceptable and serves no constructive purpose.

I am grateful to my former bandmates for their honesty and care in handling a difficult and painful situation. My choices are mine alone. I wish them well in continuing on without me.”

  • Falling In Reverse’s Ronnie Radke Has Filed A Temporary Restraining Order Against Brittany Furlan

According to TMZ, Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke has decided to file a temporary restraining order against Brittany Furlan, the wife of Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. The singer made the move after accusing her of harassment related to a catfish scandal involving someone who was allegedly pretending to be Radke on Snapchat.

TMZ shared the following information on the filing:

“Ronnie filed the TRO Monday in LA Superior Court, citing Brittany harassed him by contacting him multiple times on social media.

Ronnie alleges when he ignored her messages, Brittany drove to his house and sat out front. Then, he alleges she followed him to a doctor’s appointment and waited outside, just staring at him.

As a result, Ronnie is asking the court to order Brittany to stay at least 100 yards away from him.”

However, Furlan’s attorney Lou Shapiro says they intend to fight against the petition:

“Ms. Furlan is offended to find out this petition was filed because the only victim of harassment is her. We will take all legal measures to defend against this frivolous lawsuit and request the Ms. Furlan be protected from further harassment and threats by the petitioner.”

This news comes after Furlan recently brought up the catfishing issue again on her Instagram account. She shared DMs from an anonymous account, which she believes is Radke. The profile in question happened to be following her as well as her husband and Radke’s ex-girlfriend Saraya:

She also pointed out that the phone number associated with the account was one she got from Radke:

She then shared a comment the account left for Saraya:

She also used a separate profile to prove the aforementioned account allegedly belongs to Radke:

She used her dog’s account as well:

She later issued a longer statement:

For his part, Radke has shared a series of videos regarding the situation. The clips find the singer accusing Furlan of lying and trying to get fans to contact TMZ. He also blasted another “obsessed” fan for messaging Furlan. He also doubled down on claims that he never contacted her.

  • Dave Mustaine Is Still Not Interested In Reuniting With Former Megadeth Members During The Band’s Final Tour

During a recent interview with Guitar World, Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine addressed the possibility of inviting former members of the band to take part in their farewell tour once again. He said the following about that:

“We’ve already done that with Marty [Friedman]. And I mean, let’s look at the other people we’ve played with… there’s a lot of people. [Laughs] That would be a huge undertaking. I don’t think I want to do that. I’d rather keep doing what we’re doing and let the fans [experience] Megadeth music and be happy about it. It’s not ‘puppet show Megadeth.’”
