• Tyler Bates Exits Marilyn Manson’s Touring Band

Tyler Bates has announced his exit from Marilyn Manson’s touring band. The guitarist says he is leaving the group “to focus on [his] artist, film, and television projects.”

    Bates issued the following statement:

“Hello, Good People. Every New Year prompts reflection on all that has transpired and what lies ahead. In light of this, I have decided to conclude my time touring with Marilyn Manson to focus on my artist, film, and television projects. I have enjoyed every minute working and performing with my bandmates, Gil Sharone, Reba Meyers, and Matt (Piggy D) Montgomery. They are stellar humans on and off stage. I will miss performing with them for the incredible audiences we met around the planet in support of ‘One Assassination Under God: Chapter One.’

I’m stepping away, but I will be actively supporting the upcoming release of “Chapter Two,” my fourth album with Manson, which I believe is our finest work together. I wish M, the band, and the crew the best of success and good times moving forward. Thank you, the fans, for your loyalty and support of our new music and performances. I wish you all the very best for a fantastic and peaceful 2026. TB”

He continued when asked if it’ll offend Christians:

“I think that it might be like ‘The Exorcist,’ which was touted by the Catholic Church because it showed on-screen what they’ve been talking about.”

  • Sevendust’s Clint Lowery To Miss The First Part Of The Band’s European Tour

Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery will be missing the first part of the band’s early 2026 European tour with Alter Bridge and Daughtry. During his absence, Tim Tournier will fill in.

Lowery said the following in part:

“Unfortunately I’m not going to be able to make the front half of this tour for a couple of reasons. First off, family commitments. I made a promise to my kids years ago I would not be gone a certain amount of time anymore. I’ve done some long stretches in my career and I have to honor that promise and make sure that I’m present for them as well. Secondly, I had a couple health issues last year. I have a couple tests coming up just to confirm everything is cool there before I join the band.”

    He also added:

    “Hello Sevendust Family,

As the video states I will unfortunately be missing the front portion of the upcoming European tour with our brother in @officialalterbridge – it’s a hard decision that I had to make but the right one for the season of life I’m in currently. I adore the European fanbase there. I’ve had the pleasure of touring there a good amount and the passion from the people there is incredible. My brother @timothysonoftimothy will do an amazing job filling in no doubt. I think it’s crucial the band have a presence there and appreciate the bands support on my decision. I’ve done this since I was 18 years old and have loved touring . At this stage I have to prioritize my family and well being. Support my @sevendustofficial brothers. I will join them soon to finish it off. God is good. I love all of you and thanks for your support and understanding.”
