• Abigail Williams Begin Recording New Album

Abigail Williams have officially started the recording process for their new album. The band commented:

“Recording has begun on our 7th full-length album. Drums are done, once again handled by Mike Heller, and the rest of the work is now underway at Ken’s home studio. We began before our European tour, which was a great success, and after a couple of weeks to recover, the work has resumed in earnest. Thanks to Fortress Fest UK and Zappenduster for having us, and to our support bands in Ireland and Shagor across mainland Europe. No shortcuts are being taken; the goal is to match the intensity of our last two albums, and push it further. Another update will follow once recording is complete and we move into mixing. Release is set for early next year.”

  • Devil Master To Release New Album “Bloody Dreams” In September, Premiere “You Worms’ Vain Delusions” Video

Devil Master have announced a new album titled “Bloody Dreams.” The effort will be released on September 4 and it will include guest contributions from former drummer Chris Ulsh (Power Trip), Sigh frontman Mirai Kawashia, and Arkha Sva vocalist Ur Èmdr Œrvn. A video for the first single, “You Worms’ Vain Delusions,” can be found below:

    “Bloody Dreams” Track Listing:

    01. “You Worms’ Vain Delusions“
    02. “Trembling At Dusk“
    03. “Sex With Succubus“
    04. “Death Anthem“
    05. “Bloody Dreams“
    06. “Farewell Waltz To Unfortune’s Palace“

    Guitarist Darkest Prince commented:

“The etymology of the word ‘gothic’ is from the Gothic tribes. They were called barbaric. Eventually, that word settled into cathedrals, which people thought looked horrific. Literature took its name from the architecture [of the day]. So, our psychedelic blend of black metal and punk is defiant. Literally the marriage and definition of the whole history of the etymology of the word ‘gothic,’ of the barbarian punk side up to the spiritual, dark, supernatural, gothic evil.

The only thing I’m inspired by is Greek and Andean folk music, as well as Cumbia. Folk is eternal. I think that resonates with people. It’s been cultivated forever. It’s archetypal, primal. It taps into something across cultures. W. B. Yeats, the Irish poetic/occultist, is my favorite poet, and he described folk music as proud and lonely. That’s always resonated with me. OK, I still listen to a lot of G.I.S.M., Bathory, and Vlad Tepes—bands I’ve liked for a very long time—but that’s about as metal as I get. So, there’s folk music and punk in us, and there’s also a lot of psychedelic influence, too.”

09/03 Aleksandrow Lodzki POL – Summer Dying Loud Festival

  • Chat Pile Premiere “PEN I S SMALL” Music Video

Chat Pile have premiered a new video for their new song “PEN I S SMALL.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Who Loves The Sun,” which will be released on September 4.

    Bassist Stin commented:

“[It’s] the heaviest Chat Pile song to date. The song and title refer to a stretch of time when Raygun was working as a maintenance man at one of the local shopping malls here in OKC. He screamed himself into a pretty brutal headache tracking this one if I remember correctly”

    Vocalist Ray B. added:

“If survival wasn’t so brutal in the United States, a maintenance job at a local mall could in theory be a fun gig… Of course, the awful beast known as Capitalism is extremely rickety with not enough to truly go around in fair share as those in the lower and even middle positions know all to well.”
