Saint Agnes Premiere “Uppercut!” Video

Saint Agnes have premiered a new video for their new song “Uppercut!.” Frontwoman Kitty A Austen commented:

“’Uppercut!’ is about fighting with yourself, fighting with your own mind. No one is more brutal to us, more precisely evil in their criticism, than the voice in our own heads and it’s something I’ve struggled with a great deal in my life. ‘Uppercut!’’s message is one of self-destructive defiance: do your worst but it won’t be a patch on what I already do to myself. It’s a song that lives at rock bottom but hopefully lets people feel less alone if they struggle with the same thing. It’s the most honest song I’ve ever written and I hope, when we sing it together on tour, that we can silence those voices together. It’s also brutal as fuck and hits like an uppercut to the jaw, so that’s fun.”

Saint Agnes Premiere “Vampire” Music Video

Saint Agnes have premiered a new video for their new single “Vampire.” This song is the title track of the band’s new mini-album, which will be released on March 26. Vocalist Kitty A. Austen commented:

“‘Vampire’ is a hate-letter to the addictive, exciting, poisonous trap of social media. We grasp for immortality through our digital avatars; we present our beautiful, godlike, sanguine virtual selves whilst our imperfect shells shrink and cringe in the shadows. Self-loathing on repeat. ‘Vampire’ is alluring and bewitching pop music with a rotten soul. What better way to get the heretical Vampire in the front door than to dress her up in the right clothes? A sugar-coated pill. Welcome to the Live Forever club, but do you really want to live forever?”
