Deeds Of Flesh Premiere New Song “Ethereal Ancestors” Featuring Cannibal Corpse’s George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher

Deeds Of Flesh have premiered a new song titled “Ethereal Ancestors.” The track, which features Cannibal Corpse’s George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher, is from the band’s new album “Nucleus,” which will be released on December 11. Jacoby Kingston commented:

“‘Ethereal Ancestors‘ is one of my favorite tracks on the ‘Nucleus‘ album. The song features guest vocals from the mighty George Corpsegrinder and has super strong riffs, blasts, and vocal patterns throughout the song. Ethereal drives like a freight train all the way through and are super powerful. Getting to perform dual vocals with George is definitely one of the highlights of my death metal career. I think fans of both Deeds and Cannibal Corpse will appreciate this one!”

Deeds Of Flesh Premiere “Nucleus” Video

Deeds Of Flesh have premiered a new video for their new single “Nucleus.” The song, which features John Gallagher (Dying Fetus) and Matt Sotelo (Decrepit Birth), will serve as the title track of the band’s new album, which is set to be released on December 11. Deeds Of Flesh commented:

“‘Nucleus‘ is a great representation of the new album as a whole. It has a technical instrumental intro to grab the listener before the vocals kick in building up to the faster pacing in the song. It’s quite dynamic throughout as well as having space and grooves for John Gallagher’s [Dying Fetus] vocals to drop in. At other times, we incorporated things like layered guitars, bass tapping and polyrhythmic ideas on the drums. The song ends with a huge chord-based half-time feel before closing with an all-out blast and killer guest guitar solo by Matt Sotelo [Decrepit Birth]. The concept behind ‘Nucleus‘ is a storyline that introduces the Overseers and the Elders intervening and aiding the last of humanity in the final battle between man and an invading alien horde.”

Cannibal Corpse, Ex-Suffocation, Etc. Members To Guest On New Deeds Of Flesh Album “Nucleus”

Deeds Of Flesh have revealed the details for their new album “Nucleus.” The effort will be released on December 11 and it will feature George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher (Cannibal Corpse), Frank Mullen (ex-Suffocation), Luc Lemay (Gorguts), Bill Robinson (Decrepit Birth), and more. A lyric video for the first single, “Alyen Scourge,“ can be found below:

“Nucleus” Track Listing:

01. “Odyssey”
02. “Alyen Scourge”
03. “Ascension Vortex” [feat. Bill Robinson (Decrepit Birth), Obie Flett (Pathology), & Anthony Trapani (Odious Mortem, Severed Savior)]
04. “Catacombs of the Monolith” [feat. Luc Lemay (Gorguts)]
05. “Ethereal Ancestors” [feat. George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher (Cannibal Corpse)]
06. “Nucleus” [feat. John Gallagher (Dying Fetus)]
07. “Races Conjoined” [feat. Matti Way (Submerged, ex-Disgorge), Frank Mullen (ex-Suffocation), & Jon Zig (Serpentian)]
08. “Terror” [feat. Dusty Boisjolie (Severed Savior, Illuminegra) & Robbe Kok (Disavowed)]
09. “Onward”

Craig Peters said the following about the record, which will complete the story that started with “What’s To Come”:

“After we started the writing process for Nucleus about seven years ago, I’m very glad that now fans will be able to hear what we’ve been working on. This album is special to me because I got to work closely with Erik [Lindmark] on the material to really craft a cinematic experience for the listener.

With the passing of Erik we were all saddened by the news and not sure where things would go with the album and the band. It only seemed right to have Jacoby [Kingston] and Mike [Hamilton] come back into the fold to help finish this album.

They’re such a huge part of the Deeds Of Flesh legacy that I couldn’t see the album completed any other way. Nucleus completes this amazing story that Erik started with Of What’s To Come with a fusion of older and newer musical elements of the band with stuff fans have never heard before. Get ready because this album is an intense journey!”

Kingston added:

“After losing Erik, it didn’t feel right to have anyone else do the vocals on this album, so I knew coming out of retirement only made sense. Mike Hamilton and I made a plan to tackle the story and lyrics as a team and it came out better than I could have hoped for.

Writing and performing on this album brought me back to the early days of recording ‘Gradually Melted‘ and ‘Trading Pieces‘, when everything was new and exciting. We put 100% into this album and I think it really shows.

The dream team of guest vocalists that laid down tracks on this album is ridiculous and humbling at the same time. We are honored to have them, and I think fans will be excited about it once they learn who is on there.

The music is freaking crazy, but it’s definitely a Deeds album. We’ve managed to mix some of the old and new together to come out with a hybrid form for a new era.”

Unique Leader Records Founder & Deeds Of Flesh Guitarist Erik Lindmark Has Passed Away

Unique Leader Records founder and Deeds Of Flesh guitarist Erik Lindmark has sadly passed away following a battle with sclerosis. He was only 46. R.I.P.

Unique Leader Records issued the following statement:

“ERIK RAYMOND LINDMARK

1972-2018

It is with great sadness that we must announce that our CEO & Founder, Erik Lindmark, passed away today after battling with Sclerosis.

The indelible mark he has left on the Death Metal genre is monumental, both as a business man and as a musician. After building this label from scratch with his Deeds bandmates, Erik took Unique Leader to a level he had never expected it, or the genre, to get to.

During his time in Hospital, Erik was absolutely implicit with his instructions to staff to go full steam ahead with the label in his absence- which is exactly what we intend to do.

That being said, we will not be releasing anything in January so that we can make the necessary adjustments and delegations within the company. We would like to thank you all for your well wishes, support and kindness toward Erik on socials and via private correspondence.

There is a gofundme setup for Erik‘s daughter Bella (5) and his wife- link below.

Rest in peace Erik. You were a true warrior.”
