Originally planned for the 25-year anniversary of SOTS in 2020, the covid-19 situation made us postpone this tour until 2022.

Finally, we can present these new dates set for August 2022. At the Gates will play the whole SOTS album from start to finish, and also a mix of other tracks from their 30+ year career.

We have been looking forward to return to the US for several years now, and with a great tour package together with Municipal Waste, Enforced & Thrown Into Exile, it is finally time. See you in the pit!”

Anthrax, Black Label Society, Hatebreed, Etc. Set For 2022 Tattoo The Earth Festival

Tattoo The Earth is set to return as a single day festival. The event will take place at The Palladium in Worcester, MA on August 27 and it will include performances from Anthrax, Black Label Society, Hatebreed, At The Gates, Municipal Waste, Enforced, and more to be announced. On top of that, the festival will also feature a tattoo village hosted by Zaza Ink. Founder Scott Alderman commented:

“When I wrote ‘Caravan of Pain: The True Story of the Tattoo The Earth Tour,’ I never imagined it would bring the show back to life. Doing the show with the original promoter, Mass Concerts, and having Hatebreed on the bill, who were one of the 2000 tour breakout bands, is going to make for an amazing event.”

And we want to make this fun and interesting for the fans as well, so we are asking everyone to give us their thoughts on which songs Obituary should play. We are really looking forward to reading all the comments and suggestions, and start working on the setlist. So, hit us with your favorite song suggestions and let’s do this!”

Municipal Waste added:

“We’re very excited to be a part of a tour with so many heavy hitters from start to finish! Looking forward to hitting so many of these places we haven’t played in such a long time.”
