Fire From The Gods Release “American Sun (Reimagined)” EP

Fire From The Gods have released a new EP titled “American Sun (Reimagined).” The effort features acoustic versions of “American Sun, “Right Now,” “Truth To The Weak,” and “Break The Cycle” from the band’s 2019 album “American Sun.” You can find a video for the title track and streams of the other songs below. “’American Sun (Reimagined)’ is a reflection of what we’ve all been through this past year. We originally dropped the album on an arena tour with an exciting, busy year of touring and promo ahead. Sadly, the world shut down a few short months later and we just never felt this album got the full life it deserved. ‘American Sun (Reimagined)’ is our love letter to this album; now we feel a little more complete and ready to create what’s next.”

Demon Hunter Release Acoustic Versions Of “I Will Fail You” & “Dead Flowers”

Demon Hunter have released new acoustic versions of “I Will Fail You” and “Dead Flowers.” Both tracks will appear on the band’s new acoustic album “Songs Of Death And Resurrection,” which is set to be released on March 5. More details on that effort can be found HERE.

Thrice Release Acoustic Versions Of “Just Breathe” And “A Better Bridge“

Thrice have released a two-song EP featuring acoustic versions of “Just Breathe” and “A Better Bridge.“ Those tracks were previously recorded for SiriusXM‘s Octane. Dustin Kensrue commented:

“It’s always fun to try dig out the skeletons buried in the songs. We nearly always start songs with instrumental parts and craft melodic structure around those parts, and so it’s a process of discovery when we do a stripped-down project like this and cut things away to find the core of the song.”

Death Angel Premiere Video For Cover Of Queen & David Bowie’s “Under Pressure”

Death Angel have premiered a new video for their cover of Queen and David Bowie’s “Under Pressure.” That single is the title track of the band’s new acoustic EP, which was released today (October 9). In addition to the cover, the effort also features a new song titled “Faded Remains” and new acoustic versions of “A Room With A View” and “Revelation Song.“

Mark Osegueda said the following about the EP:

“The ‘Under Pressure‘ EP is something I feel that we needed to release during these very frustrating times…These are very heavy times…And although it’s an all acoustic EP, It’s heavy in a different sense of the word. And music is how we express ourselves best!

“This EP was my way to process the loss of my mother, and the hard hit and the uncertainty of my livelihood from the pandemic. I escaped into my basement and into the songwriting process…it never fails me.”
