The Casualties have premiered a new song titled “People Over Power.” Vocalist David Rodriguez had the following to say about the single:

“We’re getting stomped by the world, by the government, by the bad news. We want systemic change, total transformation, degradation to the state. ‘People over Power’: It’s as simple as it sounds.”

    Drummer Marc “Meggers” Eggers added:

“It’s a protest song through and through. We want the vibe to be: You listen, get angry, get your crew together, and get out on the streets.”

  • Story Of The Year Premiere “Disconnected” Video

Story Of The Year have premiered a new video for their new song “Disconnected.” This track is from the band’s new album, “A.R.S.O.N.” (“All Rage, Still Only Numb”), which will be released on February 13. Guitarist Ryan Phillips commented:

“‘Disconnected’ is one of those songs that nicely encapsulates where we are creatively these days: Big, anthemic vocals & massive guitar riffs over high energy drums. When I showed Colin the original version of the song, he loved everything besides the main guitar riff I had at the time. One day by chance I played him a song that I had planned for a solo record. It was this long piano piece that slowly gained momentum and then finally exploded into this really heavy low tuned whammy bar riff. He stopped the song and said ‘Dude, that’s the riff we need. We have to use that as the main riff for ‘Disconnected.’ He cut it together and it worked perfectly. Sometimes that’s how it goes!”

  • XCOMM Premiere “Fake ID” Video

“’Fake ID’ rips! It’s about getting rejected from shows for being under 21 when all you want to do is check out a band. The video shoot was amazing — it was so funny to walk around town dressed as grandmas for a day. I thought we looked great and I love how the video concludes with us walking into the ocean…”

  • New Found Glory Premiere New Song “Beer And Blood Stains”

New Found Glory have premiered a new song titled “Beer And Blood Stains.” The track is from the band’s new album “Listen Up!,” which will be released on February 20. Guitarist Chad Gilbert commented:

“This is the heaviest song on the record but it almost sounds like a party. At least that was the goal. It’s about an old venue we used to play when we first started. We’d play there pretty much every weekend. It was a lot of hardcore bands. Looking back now it was a dangerous place…so many fights and craziness – illegal things that wouldn’t fly now. This song is about how much fun we had, but not realizing how close to the edge we were.”

  • Trauma Ray To Release “Carnival” EP In February, Share New Song “Hannibal”

Trauma Ray have announced a new EP titled “Carnival.” The effort will be relased February 20.

    “Carnival” Track Listing:

    01. “carousel”
    02. “Hannibal”
    03. “Méliès”
    04. “Funhouse”
    05. “Clown”

Vocalist Uriel Avila said the following about the EP:

“It’s the most collaborative we’ve been, where everyone was both hands-on and hands-off. You can really hear each person’s influences in almost every song in a very unique, non-biting way.”

The effort’s first single, “Hannibal,” can be found below. Avila added the following about that:

“It’s a song about the feeling of doing your best as an individual yet still falling short in the eyes of those you hope to make proud. A lot of it stems from internal battles I faced growing up with my father, role models, and religion. Some of it comes from more recent experiences of being put under the microscope by my peers. It’s a gut wrenching sensation that I was able to tie lyrically to the visceral mood of the instrumentation that kicks off the track and begins the journey through Carnival’s overall theme.”
