During a recent appearance on “Talkin’ Bout Rock“, Casandra Carson (Paralandra) confirmed that her and Josh Rand (Stone Sour) are planning to release a new album from The L.I.F.E. Project later this year. She said the following about the record:
“We’ve got an album that it looks like we’re gonna be releasing early, mid-2026. It was originally supposed to be two EPs released [last] year, and labels, and one thing led to another, we’re doing it a little different than we originally planned. But I guess all that being said, more music from The L.I.F.E. Project is coming out very, very soon.”

KISS’ Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons are among the artists set to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame this year. The ceremony will take place at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on June 11.
The other artists set to be inducted this year include: Walter Afanasieff, Terry Britten, Graham Lyle, Kenny Loggins, Alanis Morissette, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, and Taylor Swift. Songwriters Hall Of Fame chairman Nile Rodgers commented:
“The music industry is built upon the incredible talent of songwriters who create unforgettable songs. Without their artistry, there would be no recorded music, concert experiences, or engaged fans. Everything originates from the song and its creator. We take great pride in our ongoing commitment to recognizing some of the most culturally significant composers in history. This year’s lineup not only showcases iconic songs but also celebrates unity across various genres. These songwriters have profoundly impacted the lives of billions of listeners worldwide, and it is our privilege to honor their contributions.”
Uriah Heep guitarist Mick Box will be missing the band’s immediate live shows due to illness. During his absence, Sam Wood (Black Star Riders) will fill in.
The band commented:
“We would like to let everyone know that Mick has been taken ill and will not be able to perform the first few shows on the Scandinavian leg of ‘The Magician’s Farewell Tour’ starting in Tampere, Finland this Thursday.
We are monitoring Mick’s progress daily and he will be back on the road as soon as he is fit, and he sends his best along with his sincere apologies to you all.
We have been very lucky to have Sam Wood stand in at the very last minute with Mick’s blessing for the shows Mick cannot make.
We truly appreciated everyone’s understanding in this unfortunate position we are in and hope you can make Sam welcome in this less than easy task for him.
We will keep you updated on Mick’s progress and see you all starting tomorrow.
Bernie, Phil, Russ and Davy.”
Wood added:
“I am beyond honoured to have been entrusted with the role of filling in for the one and only Mick Box on Uriah Heep’s upcoming Scandinavian tour. Mick’s been taken ill at the last minute, so I’ll be treading the boards while he gets back to health.
They are some VERY big boots to fill, and of course, I’m well aware of the weight of how much these songs and their guitar parts mean to people. The last few days have been quite an incredible learning curve! There’s been a lot of practice, moderate existential panic, and a lot of swearing, but I cannot wait to hit the road as part of the Heep family!
Wishing Mick a very speedy recovery – I know how much both the band and the fans will be wanting to see him back up there where he belongs.
First stop is a sold out Tampere tomorrow night – to quote the great man himself, ‘Happy days!’”
Sugar have premiered a new video for their new song “Long Live Love.” You can check that out below. A 7-inch release featuring the single and “House Of Dead Memories” will be available on May 1.
Vocalist/guitarist Bob Mould commented:
“I wrote ‘Long Live Love’ in 2007 while living in Washington D.C. It was the George W. Bush era, I was deep in my DJ world with Blowoff, yet still writing pop songs on guitars. Garbage 2.0 is one of my desert island albums, so it’s not surprising that ‘Long Live Love’ reminds me of a long lost Garbage song!”

During a recent interview with Kerrang!, Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe shared his thoughts on the current state of the world. According to him, “this is the moment at which empires fall.”
Blythe said the following:
“I am not happy with the way the world is right now. We are careening towards some sort of crash, and there are people who not only recognize this, but are trying to hasten it in order to profit from it. [With] the distribution of wealth, the gap is getting wider and wider and wider and wider. I don’t just think that’s true: that’s a fact. We need to learn how important we are to one another. Because the super-rich aren’t going to help you.”
He continued:
“This is the moment at which empires fall. We’ve seen this again and again and again. So without sounding too doomsday-ish, I think we’re in late-stage capitalism, and I don’t think it’s going to end well.”
He then went on to add:
“There are obscenely wealthy people dictating policy, whose only concern is enriching themselves.”
Blythe also cited the disaster capitalism that came about following Hurricane Katrina. That storm wiped out numerous homes and displaced those who were unable to rebuild. The singer continued:
“Then people with money come in and buy up what they can, develop it and profit off of it.
These people know that things are fucked up, and their answer to this is to become as rich as they can in order to isolate themselves and protect themselves from the rest of the populace.”
He also brought up professor Douglas Rushkoff’s book, “Survival Of The Richest: Escape Fantasies Of The Tech Billionaires,” and a conversation the author had with billionaires:
“They said to him, ‘We are constructing bunkers, and we want to know after the collapse what would be the best way for us to ensure the loyalty of our security staff.’ Once money is useless and you’re in your bunker, you have to have people to protect it. What’s going to stop these security people from going, ‘I’m in here safe. Fuck you, rich person. I’m going to kill you and take all your shit.’
It’s a very weird, self-serving agenda that these people have. And it sounds like a conspiracy theory, but it’s not. It’s a little too late to change or stop this. I think the only way to approach it is to start developing community and figuring out how the best way to survive it.”
Blythe also stressed the importance of human connection, telling fans to “stop staying glued to your fucking phone” and to “get the fuck off social media all the time.” You can read more from him HERE.
Limp Bizkit’s “Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)” is featured in a new Bud Light Super Bowl commercial. You can see a clip of Post Malone, Peyton Manning, and Shane Gillis rocking out to that track below:
Roman Candle have released a new song titled “Can We Watch Something Happy.” You can find an official video for that track below:
Vocalist Piper Ferrari commented:
“‘Can We Watch Something Happy‘ is written from the perspective of my childhood self. I struggled with severe OCD growing up, which was intensified by being raised in a religious household. I wasn’t diagnosed until much later, so for most of my youth I didn’t understand what was happening — I just remember being scared all the time.
There was a constant cycle of praying for the intrusive thoughts to go away, eventually giving in to them, and then praying again for forgiveness. That’s where the repeated ‘one more time’ comes from. It wasn’t about depression or suicidality; it was about trying to survive this overwhelming fear of thoughts I didn’t want, and then feeling deep guilt because I believed even having those thoughts was a sin.”
