Terminal Sleep drummer Todd Tombleson will soon be undergoing spinal surgery. As a result, the band’s Immediate shows have been cancelled.

    The group commented:

    “UPDATE ON UPCOMING SHOWS

We are very sad to share that we will not be appearing at Froth and Fury or Life’s A Beach over this coming month. Our drummer Todd has a long-term spinal injury that has deteriorated significantly recently and he requires surgery.

As a band we believe in prioritising health and wellbeing, and with some time we will be back at full strength.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to playing again (with new music…)

  • Exodus Premiere “3111” Video

Exodus have premiered a new video for their song “3111.” The clip was released through X/Twitter after being banned from YouTube due to graphic violence. The track is from the band’s new album, “Goliath,” which will be available on March 20. The group had the following to say about the single:

“We decided to go hard with the leadoff single, ‘3111‘. The song is about the narco killings in Juarez, and ‘3111’ is the estimated number of murders for 2010 alone.”

  • Opeth Premiere “§7” Video

Opeth have premiered a new video for their song “§7.” That track is from the band’s latest album “The Last Will And Testament.”

    Vocalist/guitarist Mikael Åkerfeldt commented:

“That track was scary to play live at first. Most of our songs are challenging, I suppose, and this one is no exception. I believe we all love playing this one. There are a myriad of details that could go wrong though, but it’s fun. It keeps you on your toes. And of course, then there’s Ian Anderson‘s narrations, which is the only thing in our set that isn’t ‘live’.

Since we don’t play to a click track, it’s dragging or pushing depending on the tempo of the evening. Again, it’s fun and I love the unforeseeable character of this song in a live setting. That’s a bit odd since I normally want to feel completely secure and really know what I’m doing. I generally don’t like surprises on stage.”

  • Leaves’ Eyes Premiere “Song Of Darkness” Video

Leaves’ Eyes have shared an official video for the title track of their new EP “Song Of Darkness.” That effort will be released on March 6.

    Vocalist Elina Siirala commented:

“‘Song Of Darkness’ is like a play with contrasts: it combines the mysterious and dark with light and angelic. In the midst of a dark story, there’s a feeling of hopefulness! The opposing elements create once again a perfect canvas and drama for a Leaves’ Eyes song!”

    Keyboardist/vocalist Alexander Krull added:

“Our ‘Song Of Darkness’ transports you to a world of dark dreams and inner turmoil, where mystical spirits from ancient times guide your destiny. A tragic love story, but no happy ending.”

  • Def Leppard Premiere New Song “Rejoice”

Def Leppard have premiered a new song titled “Rejoice.” You can check that out below:

    Singer Joe Elliott commented:

“This song’s been an amazing journey from concept to conclusion. I said to Phil [Collen] one day, ‘I’ve got this idea for a lyric where the narrator is at absolute rock bottom and wants to rise up to a higher level. Do you have a musical piece that might match with that?’ And he said, ‘As it happens, yes I do.’”

    Guitarist Phil Collen added:

“I had this riff, this idea for a song a while ago actually, so when Joe came to me I created this drum loop based with a tribal sound and it fit perfectly with this other arrangement I had. I sent it to Joe and it was like magic — he sang straight over the top of it. And that’s how the song was formed. Then we gave it to Ronan [McHugh] who’d done a proper drum loop with different sounds. It all started gelling and just sounded like a powerful chant. We love it. It’s hard rock for us. It’s got a bit more of an ‘oomph’ than stuff we’ve been doing for a while. It’s kind of magical.”

  • Matt Zane Is Now Self-Funding His Unauthorized Wayne Static And Tera Wray Documentary

As previously reported, Matt Zane is currently working on an unauthorized documentary focusing on Wayne Static (Static-X) and Tera Wray. However, the crowdfunding campaign for the film proved to be unsuccessful after the families of the late married couple objected to it and filed a cease and desist against the filmmaker. Despite this, Zane is now planning to self-fund the release.

Zane issued the following press release:

“Unauthorized Wayne Static & Tera Wray Documentary to Be Self-Funded by Filmmaker Matt Zane

Los Angeles, CA — Filmmaker Matt Zane has announced that his unauthorized documentary focusing on late STATIC-X frontman Wayne Static and his wife Tera Wray will move forward as a self-funded project, following the failure of its recent crowdfunding campaign.

The campaign faced immediate challenges after the estates of both Wayne Static and Tera Wray publicly objected to the project less than 24 hours before its launch. The following day, Zane was issued a cease-and-desist notice from both estates, prompting significant backlash from fans and contributing to the campaign falling short of its funding goals.

Despite the setback, Zane says he remains committed to completing the documentary and will personally finance the project.

“I’m sure the estates and everyone over in the current STATIC-X camp thought that if they could prevent my funding, that would be the end of it,” said Zane. “I’m here to tell you I’ll move forward regardless and will self-fund this project to ensure that it’s made.”

A segment of the fan community previously accused Zane of pursuing the documentary as a “cash grab.” However, with the project now self-funded, all financial risk rests solely with the filmmaker, and the likelihood of profit is minimal. Zane maintains that financial gain has never been his motivation.

“Wayne and Tera asked me to make this. They were my friends,” Zane explained. “I couldn’t get it done while they were here, but I can do it now. They wanted their truth and their story out there, and they trusted me with all of their video projects. I won’t let them down.”

Zane has also expressed a continued desire to engage in dialogue with the families of Wayne Static and Tera Wray regarding the film’s intent.

“I sincerely hope their families watch it,” he said. “I truly believe they will come to understand that my intention was always to honor Wayne and Tera’s wishes.”

Weekly updates on the progress of the documentary will be shared via Matt Zane’s Instagram account: @lordzane”

  • Myrkur Premieres New Song “Touch My Love And Die”

Myrkur has premiered a new song titled “Touch My Love And Die.” The track, which was commissioned by Danish broadcaster DR1, will serve as the singer’s entry into this year’s Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. The winner of that competition will represent Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria.

The following was said about the single:

“‘Touch My Love And Die’ is a dark, cinematic ballad in which Myrkur’s various musical expressions merge into a new whole. The sound incorporates elements from metal, Nordic folk music, and film scores, recorded in Dolby Atmos with real musicians—from cello, a girls’ choir, and ancient folk instruments to drums captured with more than 40 microphones. A physical, human soundscape in a time marked by speed, artificiality, and distance.

Recorded in Winter 2025 with Christopher Juul (Heilung), Myrkur describes ‘Touch My Love And Die’ as a work into which ‘heart, soul, blood, and tears’ have been poured—both in song and performance—something she hopes can exist as an antidote to a world dominated by AI and a throwaway culture. A reminder of humanity’s roots, spirit, and resilience.”

  • Bret Michaels Says There Is “Potential Of A Future Reunion” With Poison

In a recent social media post, Poison frontman Bret Michaels claimed there is still “potential of a future reunion” with the band. This news comes shortly after drummer Rikki Rockett claimed a financial dispute with Michaels derailed their touring plans.

    Michaels said the following:

“To Green Day and Bad Bunny – congratulations on the Super Bowl concert. I cannot wait to watch it and I cannot wait to announce a Bucket List NFL dream come true (stay tuned…)

To my friend Rikki Rockett – have fun tonight with my good buddy Eddie Trunk and enjoy the Metal Hall of Fame ceremony.

As always, I consider Poison to be Bobby, C.C., Rikki and myself. I also make no bones about loving the BMB and will always have both in my life.

Bottom line – I love music, I love the fans and I’m always forever grateful. Onward & upward and let’s all focus on the positive in 2026, and the potential of a future reunion.”
