  • The Warning Team Up With Carín León For New Song “Love To Be Loved”

The Warning and Carín León have joined forces for a new song titled “Love To Be Loved.” You can find an official video for that track below:

    The Warning commented:

“We are so excited about this song. As a rock band, this is something completely different for us and a chance to explore new sounds. Originally co-written with Teddy Swims, the song naturally blends country, rock, and pop in a way that felt fresh and inspiring from the start. Blending musical worlds is always exciting, and working with our fellow Mexican artist Carín León made the experience even more special. It’s a collaboration that pushed us creatively and shows a new side of The Warning.”

    León added:

“I’m truly happy and excited about this collaboration with these amazing artists, The Warning, a band I deeply admire that reaffirms to me that Mexican music and Mexican rock are far from dead — they’re more present and stronger than ever. I’m also really grateful to collaborate alongside artists with such important projects for Mexican music and culture, and to be able to release this great song together. I truly hope people connect with it, appreciate it, and carry it in their hearts for a long time.”

“Well, this is news to us. Especially since we were in the process of acquiring the rights from the label for our own official reissue. But —y’know— who the fuck are we, right? (By the way — the remaster we commissioned sounds terrific. Too bad no one will get to hear it.)”

Enjoy The Ride Records then responded:

“@local_h we are very sorry you were not aware as we messaged you guys over a year ago about this to get you involved. I just got off a call with your manager to discuss this given the circumstances in hopes we can work something out that makes sense for everyone involved as In no way was this intentionally hid from you as we always try to get the artists involved best we can when they are active and want to be. please check your dms as we messaged you a year ago.”

  • Ovtlier Recruit Sen Dog And Hyro The Hero For Cover Of Cypress Hill’s “(Rock) Superstar”

Ovtlier have released a new cover of Cypress Hill’s “(Rock) Superstar.” A video for the track, which features Hyro The Hero and Cypress Hill’s own Sen Dog, can be found below:

    Ovtlier vocalist Joey Arena commented:

“‘Superstar‘ was more influential to me than I had realized in my youth. Growing up, there wasn’t a Rap, Rock or Pop station that wasn’t playing this song… we would blast this track like it was the only song that had existed for months.”

“I never believed a band should have one specific sound. I always heard from so many industry reps that I needed to find my ‘identity’ when my identity was doing whatever the fuck I wanted. An artist is meant to grow, push boundaries and experiment… ‘Superstar‘ was just that for me — a staple in the fusion of the genres it portrays.”

“I wanted to cover this song not only cause it’s nostalgic, but because of the genre blending it represents. I have incorporated some ‘white boy rap’ in previous tracks, but this got to showcase a whole different side and my love for Hip Hop.”

“What could bring a more authentic stamp of approval than getting the iconic Sen Dog of Cypress Hill on the track? It was such an honor to have him not only feature on the track but get him to appear in the video. He stuck it out all day with us… Such an awesome and down to earth individual that deserves all the recognition.”
