Earthless Release “Live In The Mojave Desert”

Earthless have released their 2020 set in the Mojave Desert as a new live album titled “Live In The Mojave Desert.” That effort features the following tracks: “Violence Of The Red Sea,” “Sonic Prayer,” and “Lost In The Cold Sun.” You can find a piece of the “Sonic Prayer” performance below. Drummer Mario Rubalcaba commented:

“Having the opportunity to set up out in the desert and play how we do was one of the best experiences ever actually. Adding to it the Mad Alchemy liquid lights and the surroundings made for a very satisfying day/night of jamming. Thankful for Giant Rock Records preserving the night by filming and recording this. I hope people can enjoy the release as much as we did doing it.”

Earthless Begin Recording New Album

Earthless have hit the studio to begin the recording process for their new album. The band commented:

Earthless Release Cover Of Black Sabbath’s “Never Say Die”

Earthless have released their cover of Black Sabbath‘s “Never Say Die.” This track is from Magnetic Eye Records‘ new Black Sabbath tribute album “Best Of Black Sabbath [Redux],” which will be released on October 30, along with a tribute to Black Sabbath’s “Vol. 4.“

Earthless commented:

“We were originally going to record ‘After Forever’ or ‘Lord of this World’ but those songs, which are two of our favorites, didn’t really fit our style of playing. Mario came in with ‘Never Say Die’ and we all agreed that a faster pace song would suit us better.

Also it was kind of cool to record a track that wasn’t from the first four, or six Ozzy era records. We recorded the song in our buddy Gabe’s living room, had him play a little organ, had Brendan Dellar from Sacri Monti come in and recorded the vocals. It was a very cool collaborative effort with friends. Those moments don’t happen too often.

Thank to MER for asking us to be part of this tribute to one of the greatest bands ever to grace our ears.”
