Svart Crown Premiere New Song “Thermageddon”, Reveal Details For New Album “Wolves Among The Ashes”

Svart Crown have premiered a new song titled “Thermageddon.” This track is from the band’s new album “Wolves Among The Ashes,” which will be released on February 7.

JB Le Bail commented:

“We are again pretty excited to reveal the first track of our new album Wolves Among The Ashes, ‘Thermageddon’. It was the first track we wrote for this album, and it shows a certain desire to come back to the blackened death metal we loved in the late 90’s: uncompromising, direct and with no superfluous element. But we cannot ignore that some doors were opened on our past releases and I am pretty sure that everyone is going to be surprised by what will happen next… This time, too, everything has been under the supervision of our Nganda “Francis Caste”, who captured our best sound production to date. Last but not least, Dehn Sora gave us the perfect post apocalyptic vibe that this album needed.

We are the angels of our fall. The enemies of ourselves. Our own predators. Wolves among the ashes.”

“Wolves Among The Ashes” Track Listing:

01. “They Will Not Take Our Death In Vain”
02. “Thermageddon”
03. “Art Of Obedience”
04. “Blessed Be The Fools”
05. “At The Altar Of Beauty”
06. “Down To Nowhere”
07. “Exoria”
08. “Living With The Enemy”

As previously reported, Svart Crown will also be heading out on a European tour with GosT.

Marduk’s Oakland, CA Show Cancelled “In The Interest Of Public Safety”

Marduk‘s show with Incantation and Svart Crown at the Oakland Metro Operahouse in Oakland, CA tonight (February 18) has been cancelled. The cancellation was due to apparent security concerns.

The venue posted the following:

“In the last week we have read interview after interview with Marduk spanning over the last 20 years and found no statements indicating the band are white supremacists, nationalists, or anti-immigrant. That being said, we don’t want to subject our security staff, venue staff or the public to violence.

Our staff is almost exclusively POC and/or LBGTQ and they have all expressed the desire to work, but as we are getting threats, we just can’t risk it. So, in the interest of safety, and because the Oakland Police Department would have insisted anyway, we have canceled the Marduk performance on Feb 18.

The Oakland Police Department has decided in the interest of public safety that the Marduk show on Saturday, February 18 at the Oakland Metro Operahouse be cancelled. Refunds at point of purchase. We apologize for the inconvenience.”

They also posted a screenshot of their chat with sergeant Andy McNeil of the Oakland Police Department:
