Gost Premieres “Bound By The Horror” Music Video

Gost has premiered a new video for his latest single “Bound By The Horror.” That track is from his new album “Rites Of Love And Reverence,” which will be released on August 13. Gost commented:

“’Bound by the Horror’ started the writing process for ‘Rites of Love and Reverence’. I wanted a heavy baseline to really start things off for this record and ‘Bound by the Horror’ is the result. ‘Bound by the Horror’ refers to how I started feeling boxed in creatively. One of my favourites from the new album and a kind of goodbye to limiting expectations.”

Gost Premieres “A Fleeting Whisper” Video

Gost has premiered a new video for his new song “A Fleeting Whisper.” This track is from his new album “Rites Of Love And Reverence,” which will be released on August 13. Gost commented:

“’A Fleeting Whisper’ is an homage to not only navigating spirituality but simply being human. The uncertainty of life makes living both beautiful and terrifying. We all carry around so many similar insecurities and feelings of doubt in this modern digital age. A time in our history which promises ultimate connectivity seems, all too often, to leave many of us feeling increasingly disconnected and alone. Music has always been a way for us to forget our differences and come together as a species. Personally, music has been the one true constant in my life and in many ways, the only true spirituality I have found solace in. Like a fleeting whisper, sometimes almost undetectable, music ties the events of my life together.”

Motionless In White Release “Synthwave Edition” Of “Voices”

Motionless In White have released a new “Synthwave Edition” of their song “Voices.” The original version of the track appears on the band’s 2017 album “Graveyard Shift.”

The group commented:

“During the many months of quarantine and downtime of 2020, we decided to not only use the time to work on new material for our next record, but also venture into musical territory that we had always wanted to explore and experiment with that we haven’t had a chance to touch on very much in our career. “Voices: Synthwave Edition” is the conclusion of what we call our “2020 Quarantine Experiments,” which also included orchestral versions of “Another Life” and “Eternally Yours”, a cover of The Killers “Somebody Told Me”, A remix of “Another Life” created by Caleb Shomo, and most recently, a deep dive into the roots of our heavier material with “Creatures X: To The Grave“. We are huge fans of artists like The Midnight, Carpenter Brut, Dance With The Dead, and many more spread across the synthwave and outrun spectrum, and wanted to try our hand at our own version of a song in this style. It was a really fun project to work on and such a fun genre to listen to. We hope you like it as much as we do, and thank you for all the support and positive feedback on all of the quarantine experiments we released.”

Gost Premieres “Coven” Video

Gost has premiered a new video for his new song “Coven.” This track is from his new album “Rites Of Love And Reverence,” which will be released on August 13. Gost said the following about the song:

“’Coven’ is a piece that seemed to write itself, flowing almost effortlessly from some unexplainable source. This song is told from the perspective of a persecuted witch who is proud of her coven and will die before she betrays her sisters. In memory of the many victims throughout history, by which mere accusations of witchcraft condemned the innocent to death.”

Gost To Release New Album “Rites Of Love And Reverence” In August

02. “Bound By The Horror”
03. “The Fear”
04. “A Fleeting Whisper”
05. “We Are The Crypt”
06. “Blessed Be”
07. “November Is Death” (feat. Bitchcraft)
08. “Embrace The Blade”
09. “Coven”

Gost commented:

“I have recently been fixated on the subject of witchcraft and its effect on women throughout history. I myself practice rituals to help clear my mind and focus on my day to day endeavors. This curiosity into witchcraft’s history and my own traditions combined to inspire the new album.”

He also added the following about the cover art, which was photographed by Nona Limmen:

“I have been a fan of Nona Limmen’s work for some time now. The inspiration for the new album is much about witchcraft from the feminine perspective. For women, throughout history, witchcraft has been negative, empowering, poisonous, and beautiful. The moment I saw this photographer by Nona, I could not imagine using anything else to convey the album’s content as beautifully and powerfully as this image does.”

The Black Queen To Release Fifth Anniversary Edition Of “Fever Daydream”

The Black Queen (The Dillinger Escape Plan, etc.) have announced that they will be releasing a fifth anniversary edition of their debut album “Fever Daydream.” A deluxe digital edition will be available via Bandcamp on February 5, before hitting other digital outlets on February 19. The effort will come with the “original ten songs as well as instrumental and vocal only versions of each track.” Bonus recordings and demos will also be included. Furthermore, pre-orders have also launched for new limited edition vinyl pressings.

Frontman Greg Puciato commented:

“In 20 years of making albums, there are a few that stand-out as being really special. They felt special when they were being made, and they still stand-out after the passing of time. If every album is a point on a timeline, these points are a little bigger than the rest. ‘Fever Daydream‘ is one of those points. We had no idea when we made it whether other people would connect to it in the way that we did, but it turns out that a decent amount of people did.

This was the gateway into a lot for me on the release-side too, the genesis of what would become Federal Prisoner, and the start of a real passion for releasing records, and for owning my output. Personally it was a really transitional time too, with a lot of growth happening, and I can hear all of that in this. We had a special bond as friends and musicians during the years that we spent making this, and a couple of my current closest relationships both personally and professionally were formed during this time.

So we, and I, are proud to re-issue this, in new packaging, with new variants, and some extra stuff on the digital side. Thanks everyone. We hope to see you at some shows before too long. Now back to the new record ;-).”
