Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Major Moment

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Major Moment.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

MAJOR MOMENT: Major Moment is a Boston-based rock band with an alternative flare, that features Russian-born husband and wife on vocals, two guitarists originally from US, and a drummer from Guatemala. Quite a diverse lineup, paired with the sound that combines the best of both worlds: catchy melodies, heavy riffs, modern synths and samples, and meaningful lyrics. We bring an alternative message to what is fed by the mass media nowadays: of love, self-care, pursuing your dreams and living a life of purpose.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

MAJOR MOMENT: Musically, the band is heavily influenced by Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon, Keane, Cold, Poets of the Fall.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

MAJOR MOMENT: We have released two EPs so far, “one small stEP” in late 2018, and followed up with “The Sequel” last year. You should absolutely check out both, because they’re quite different, and different people tend to connect with different songs of ours. See which one you’ll dig! Both EPs were critically acclaimed by fans and industry professionals, gaining hundreds of thousands of streams and views, international awards, radio & press support worldwide. The last music video single, “May Leave Scars” can be found below. Also, stay tuned for 4 of our new singles we just finished recording. We think it’s our best set of songs to date, and cannot wait for everyone to hear them! We also have some surprises…

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

MAJOR MOMENT: Friendly atmosphere, loads of energy, sing-alongs, jumping. We are constantly working on making our shows truly a “major moment” for everyone!

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

MAJOR MOMENT: We have big plans for the next couple of years and we’re very excited to see what’s gonna happen in the future! Although, 5 years seems like a looooong way to go… We as a band are not even two years active yet, and it feels like we’ve been through hell and high water, been doing it forever, haha. But yes, we cannot wait to play festivals / cities / venues we all dream to play at, record and release new music, film new music videos, meet new friends & fans who will appreciate our music and will sing our lyrics back to us… this is what we would love to see rather soon! But regardless of the highs (or lows) we’ll reach, you should know that we’ll remain as hardworking, as caring and as down to the ground people we are today.
