It looks like the Melvins and Sleep’s Al Cisneros will be releasing a new two-song EP, titled “Sabbath,” as a 10 inch vinyl. The Melvins revealed the news by launching an auction for the test vinyl on eBay. The description for that listing says the following:
Up for auction is a rare Test Pressing for upcoming Amphetamine Reptile’s upcoming release of the Melvins Sabbath 10″. 2 tracks total with Al Cisneros of Sleep joining the Melvins. The record itself is basic black vinyl with simply “side A” printed on one side & “Melvins “Sabbath 1/10” handwritten on the other. Comes in the plastic sleeve from Pirates Press with a sticker adhered to it with the Amphetamine Reptile catalog #, band name, title, pressing plant, country of manufacture & some barcodes. The sleeve has the artwork of HAZE XXL & with 2 hand-pulled linocut prints that were printed, torn & mounted by HAZE himself. He has also written in pencil, the words MELVINS “SABBATH” on the front & TEST PRESSING 1/10 on the back. Only 10 of these exist & this is #1 in the edition.
