  • Sleeping With Sirens’ Kellin Quinn Finally Receives Apology From Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes Over 2013 VIP Comment

Back in 2013, Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes blasted Sleeping With Sirens singer Kellin Quinn for charging fans $80 for a VIP package. Now, in a new video for Bring Me The Horizon’s 2026 VIP package, Sykes officially apologized.

Sykes said the following in 2013:

“Next USA tour! Oli Sykes special polaroid package! Take a photo with me! Special price! Absolutely no charge at all! Fucking cockstars.”

    Quinn later defended the package:

    “My response

I feel like this is an amazing deal for 80 dollars if you disagree then don’t buy it, no one is forcing you k?

    ‘Autographed Polaroid photo with Kellin
    Group Q&A session with Kellin
Signing Session With Sleeping With Sirens
    Large Double-Sided Autographed Poster
Early Entry Into The ‘Feel This’ Tour
General admission ticket to the ‘Feel This’ tour’

keep in mind Polaroid film is super expensive, your getting the ticket to the show, you get front row over anyone else.. If you only want to pay general admission then just do that. However, if you do like the idea of doing all these things included.. It’s ONLY 80 dollars.. I would never charge someone money for just a picture with me.. I try and do anything and everything for my fans.. I do in fact have a family, and that family needs to be fed.. So thanks for supporting us and helping me continue to tour.. Without you there is no us! Love you Kellin”

Fast forward to 2026, Bring Me The Horizon have officially addressed the situation in a promo video:

“Do you have more money than common sense? Then you instantly qualify for Bring Me the Horizon’s VIP package extravaganza. I know, I know, but you try paying for pyro with integrity. To be fair, as far as completely unnecessary purchases go, this one’s actually pretty fucking decent. You get access to the VIP room, packed with sacred relics dragged straight from the band’s touring history. Disgustingly exclusive merch you can’t get anywhere else. And the crème de la crème, a completely ridiculous limited edition VIP box set packed with even more exclusive shit, the BMTH VIP experience. Capitalism, baby. Go get it before your frontal lobe kicks in. Oh, and, uh, Kellin Quinn, your apology is in the post.”

“We’ve got some new material recorded, some new stuff. And then I would say [guitarist] Jake [Pitts] and I are 75% done in terms of writing for the next record. We don’t want another five-year break between records, I think.”

    Singer Phil Mogg continued:

“Knowing I would be writing was like someone gave me a rush of adrenaline. I wanted to write riffs, I wanted to write songs… I did some demos in my room, so when it came to ‘Mechanix’, I had some things to offer.”

  • Watch Greta Van Fleet Perform “Saw You Stand” On “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

  • Ghost Fans Rally To Support Mountain View Mausoleum

Ghost fans have been raising funds to assist with restoration efforts at the Mountain View Mausoleum in Altadena, California. The band used that site as the filming location for their “Ministry” headquarters. It also served as the setting for various photos and videos, including a 2022 performance of “Call Me Little Sunshine” for “Jimmy Kimmel Live!.”

Mystic Ministry, a fan-led group, have already raised $3,902.47 for recovery and preservation efforts. They will also be hosting three 20-person tours of the mausoleum on October 3. A portion of the proceeds will go towards fixing damage related to the Eaton fires. Fans can donate and purchase tickets HERE.

Amati Avaul, founder of Mystic Ministry, commented:

“Ghost has always been about more than the music. There’s this incredible world the band has created, and the fans don’t just watch it — we participate in it, build community around it and find ways to make it meaningful in our own lives. Mountain View became part of that world for us. Once you view the Mausoleum, read about its history, you realize it’s so much more than a filming location. It’s a rare and beautiful place, filled with history, artistry and memory, and places like that simply can’t be replaced. Mystic Ministry wanted to take the passion and creativity that exist in this fandom and turn them into something positive and tangible. If loving this band brought us to Mountain View, then helping preserve Mountain View — and showing some love to the community around it — feels like a pretty wonderful way to give something back.”

That set has been newly mixed by Ian MacKaye (Minor Threat, Fugazi) and it will be available in vinyl, cassette, and digital formats.

“Are You Ready: The First Studio Recording” Track Listing:

    03. “Black Dots“
    04. “Migraine“
    05. “Send No Flowers“
    06. “Jamming At The Atlantis“

    Bassist Darryl Jenifer commented:

“We wanted to make sure a lot of our energy was put into executing our riffs and ideas. There was no overall vision of what we meant as a band or what it would come to mean to the culture. All we knew was we loved a wild version of rock and roll that they called punk.”

A video for “Pay To Cum” featuring footage Barry Masterson captured during an October 24, 1979 set at CBGB can be found below. Jenifer added the following about that track:

“The riff for ‘Pay To Cum’ started as a stream of punk rock vibes fueled by the Ramones, the Damned, and Return to Forever. It was a gift that served as a springboard into our sound — sheer, straight-ahead three-chord mayhem with a few breaks and a stop. The title actually meant nothing to us; it was just a fun-loving play on words.”
