• Terror Fire Back At Bootleggers With Their Own Bootleg Design

Terror have decided to fight back against bootleggers by printing their own bootlegged design. The band said the following about that via Instagram:

“Combat the bootleggers by bootlegging the bootleg! 😂 It can suck to be a hardworking band & have this happen, but that’s life and we try to make the best of it. Pick up an official shirt from us of a design we did ages ago for a very limited time. If you happened to grab one from @brokenuniformsyndicate we encourage you to get a refund. Merry Christmas and thanks for the love! Hoodie version also available. LINK IN THE BIO!”

  • Jane’s Addiction Members Officially Reach Settlement Following Dueling Lawsuits

As previously reported, Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins previously filed a lawsuit against singer Perry Farrell for assault, battery, emotional distress, etc. after he attacked Navarro onstage. Farrell later denied those claims and filed his own lawsuit. However, People are now reporting that the group have officially reached a settlement. As such, both lawsuits have been dismissed by the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles county. The news is somewhat unsurprising considering the musicians recently issued statements saying their issues have been resolved.

  • The Cure’s Perry Bamonte Dead At 65

The Cure guitarist/keyboardist Perry Bamonte has sadly passed away following a “short illness.” He was 65 years old.

The band issued the following statement:

“It is with enormous sadness that we confirm the death of our great friend and bandmate Perry Bamonte, who passed away after a short illness at home over Christmas.

Quiet, intense, intuitive, constant and hugely creative, ‘Teddy’ was a warm hearted and vital part of The Cure story.

‘Looking after the band’ from 1984 through 1989, he became a full time member of The Cure in 1990, playing guitar, six string bass and keyboard on ‘The Wish,’ ‘Wild Mood Swings,’ ‘Bloodflowers,’ ‘Acoustic Hits’ and ‘The Cure’ albums, as well as performing more than 400 shows over 14 years.

He rejoined The Cure in 2022, playing another 90 shows, some of the best in the band’s history, culminating with the show of a ‘Lost World’ concert in London 1st November 2024.

Our thoughts and condolences are with all his family.

He will be very greatly missed.”

  • The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen Says Vans Warped Tour Was “All The Grossness Of The Road In One Place”

During a recent appearance on the “Zach Sang Show,” Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless) reflected on taking part in the 2010 Vans Warped Tour. According to her, it was “all the grossness of the road in one place.”

    Momsen said the following:

“You’re probably not supposed to say that, but, like, it was super fucked up.

It’s like a very gross band summer camp. It was our first tour, too, our first real tour — ‘Warped Tour‘. In one way, I think it was good for us that the grind of that tour is ridiculous, so it put you through [more than three shows week]. And they also don’t tell you what time you’re playing till the morning of. You get punished if you don’t go to a press tent, and you get a shitty slot.”

Like there was… the whole dynamic to ‘Warped Tour‘ that I thought was a bunch of bullshit, but, you know, whatever. But it put you through the wringer of what touring is like in the most extreme circumstances – heat and tour buses breaking, and no bathrooms – all the grossness of the road in one place.

So, in one way, it was good. And the other way, it is completely unprofessional and not what touring is like at all. You know, I take touring very seriously. I take the show very seriously. And that is not what that environment is. That environment is a rolling party of bands with no rules, mayhem… debauchery… It was gross, but still fun.”

She also added the following about the event’s return:

“I think the fans probably had a really great time. I think the bands had a really great time. I did not have a really great time on ‘Warped Tour‘. It was just an experience, one that I wouldn’t want to do again.”

  • Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine Opens Up About His Battle With Dupuytren’s Contracture

During an interview with MariskalRockTV, Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine opened up about his battle with Dupuytren’s Contracture. The hand condition contributed to his decision to end the band following their farewell album and tour.

Mustaine said the following when asked if he remembers the day he decided to announce his upcoming retirement:

“No. No, ’cause I just brought it up. I didn’t decide. We were working in the studio [on MEGADETH’s upcoming self-titled album], and it just had been a really difficult few weeks. We were trying to get everything done, and it obviously was important to us to make sure that the record was done right. And we had a bunch of deadlines we ran up against that was making it hard and stuff like that. And my hands were hurting really bad. And then I just said one day to my management, ‘You know, I don’t know how much longer I’m gonna be able to do this.’ I didn’t say, ‘Hey, I wanna retire right now.’”

He went on to further discuss his hands:

“Yeah, you can look right here on this hand. There’s a line right there that’s sticking up. That’s something called Dupuytren’s contracture, and it’s gonna make my finger come down like this. It’s already started, where it’s kind of bunching up a little bit. And then if you look at the tips of my fingers, they’re severely arthritic. So, all those bumps makes it really painful to play.”

He also added the following when asked about surgery:

“I’m gonna wait for that until I’m ready to try it, because if I try it now and I’m 95 percent, and I do a surgery and it sets me back, that would’ve been a bad decision. If I wait until my hands are causing a problem and I try it and it doesn’t work, well then I’ve toured everywhere, I’ve said farewell to everybody and I’m not leaving stuff unsaid or unfinished.”
