The album is a collection of lessons learned, from the joy of finding someone who truly gets you to the importance of asking for what you want and preserving a part of yourself in the process.”

    Andrew Ragin added:

“Some of us are horror junkies and our favorite movies often serve as the backdrop and inspiration for our songs. Most songs start as a sort of alternate movie score and then we let all of our various influences and interests take hold without gearing towards any specific genre. With a foot planted firmly in the dark and spooky, everyone gets to play with these themes and styles, which makes for an eclectic blend of metal, dark wave, punk, ’90s alternative and even hair metal.”

In other news, the band have also announced a fall tour. Here’s the dates:

10/29 Chicago, IL – Empty Bottle

SPEED have shared an official movie for their new song “PEACE.” That track is from the band’s new EP, “ALL MY ANGELS,” which will be released on October 23.

    Vocalist Jem Siow commented:

“Three of our close friends passed away in 18 months — but, amidst this devastation I was overcome with a deep sense of clarity and peace. Because, despite the abyss of questions of why and how, my clearest sense of calm lay in the certainty that the time we shared and invested in one another was underpinned by unfiltered honesty and unconditional love.

Their lives were short, but I know our experiences together were lived with deep, meaningful intention, which has in turn empowered us with more meaning and purpose while we are still here. This sense of calm and focus exists like a sharpened, refined weapon at my disposal – poised to attack life and its many hurdles with precision and intention. And it has only been refined through the process of loss.”
