  • Eleine Premiere New Song “Liars Linger”

    Eleine have premiered a new song titled “Liars Linger.” This track is from the band’s new album, “The Water Taste Of Blood,” which will be released on December 4. The group commented:

    “Have you ever trusted someone deeply? Maybe even to the point where you trust them with your life? When trust is broken, it all falls apart. It is time to open your eyes towards all that has been, is and will become. You must realize what is now, is real. But do not fear being deceived again, use the pain to rise through the lies and reclaim your freedom. ‘Liars Linger’ is one of the strongest choruses of the upcoming album. It’s heartbreaking yet uplifting, heavy but fragile. We hope our fans will embrace this song as much as we have.”

  • Insurrectionist Jon Schaffer Shares Video For “Jekyll Island” From His Sons Of Liberty Project

    Iced Earth’s Jon Schaffer has shared a video for “Jekyll Island” from his Sons Of Liberty project. You can find that below. The track appears on the band’s “Thought Crimes (Volumes 1 & 2)“ collection. That effort was Schaffer’s first since he was sentenced for his role in the January 6, 2021 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Schaffer commented:

    “‘Jekyll Island’ is based on the must-read book by G. Edward Griffin ‘The Creature From Jekyll Island.’ If we want to make positive change in the world, it’s important to understand the nature of the monetary system that we live under. This book is a great place to start your journey of understanding. It was obvious to me in 2009 when I wrote this song that it had the right energy to open the record.”

  • Justifications (The Red Chord, Etc.) Set Streaming Debut For New Single “Urge To Kill”

    Justifications (The Red Chord, etc.) have confirmed that their debut single, “Urge To Kill,” will be hitting streaming services on September 18. However, fans subscribed to SiriusXM can hear it now on the Liquid Metal station. The band commented:

    “The first Justifications single, Urge to Kill will be streaming everywhere next Friday, 9/18. In the meantime, SiriusXM Liquid Metal is the only place you can hear it. Matt Heafy did the honor of a world premier on The Chaos Hour & opened the show with earlier this week! Go to Channel 40. Let the DJs know you want to hear it & let us know what you think!   • Drummer John Runkle To Exit It Dies Today, Nick Mirusso Returns

    Drummer John Runkle has announced his departure from It Dies Today. His final show will take place at the Rec Room in Buffalo, NY on November 7. The band will then move forward with returning drummer Nick Mirusso. The aforementioned concert will see the band celebrating their 25th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of “Sirens.” All Out War, Gemstar, Sicksense, Autoignition, and Jeweltone will open.

    Runkle commented:

    “Equal parts happy and sad to announce this will be my last show with @itdiestodayofficial. @nmirusso and I will be splitting this set in November, and then he will be back permanently. Nick brings an intangible to the sound of this band that he, and only he has. I’ve been part of this band in some capacity for 17 years, and still will be, just not as drummer. This was entirely my idea, and Nick and I have worked together for weeks to make this happen. Thanks everyone for the memories, and catch me one last time in November, it’s going to be a special set- and welcome back Moots!”

    Mirusso added:

    “Saying that I’m going to be back behind the kit with the boys feels a little surreal.

    First and foremost, I want to thank John. What he contributed to keeping IDT going means more to me than I can probably put into words. He gave this band everything he had, and ultimately helped pave the way for me to return.

    I’ve known these guys for a very, very long time. We’ve shared so many incredible moments and memories together, and this band has always been a massive part of my life.

    There are a lot of emotions wrapped up in coming back. I’m excited. I’m grateful. I’m still processing it all, but more than anything, I’m looking forward to playing music with these guys again and seeing where this next chapter takes us. To quote Rocky Balboa the Italian Stallion…. “There’s still some ‘stuff’ in the basement.”

    Thank you to my brothers John, Nick, Mike, Chris, Steve, and everyone who has supported this band over the years. ❤️

  • Green Lung Share Animated Video For “Dance To The Grave”

    Green Lung have shared an animated video for their new song “Dance To The Grave.” The track is from the band’s newly released album “Necropolitan.” The group said the following about the record and video:

    “If Steven Wilson’s eighth album ‘The Overview’ explored the depths, distances, and desolation of deep space, ‘Requiem for a Village’ narrows its focus to a tiny, unknown corner of the British Isles. It steps back from the modern world and ventures into the unfamiliar, setting down in a village that exists beyond time and place.

    In imagining this realm of otherness and in creating music that willingly embraces both the macabre and the possibilities of studio mistakes Wilson adopted a similarly unorthodox recording approach. Eschewing AI and corrective studio technologies, he turned instead to organic instrumentation (whether pristine or imperfect), embracing mistakes to see where they might lead. Intimate, ambitious, richly imaginative, and knowingly eccentric, featuring compelling narration written by Andy Partridge (XTC) and voiced by one of the country’s finest actors, David Tennant.

    Set in a landscape where the paintings of Stanley Spencer hang in the local art gallery, the stories of M. R. James and Algernon Blackwood sit on the shelves of the public library, and the children of the stones play in the market square, ‘Requiem for a Village’ is a sepia-toned snapshot of a place you won’t find on any map a 54-minute piece of cinema for the ears.”

    Wilson added:

    “I wanted to get back to a kind of music where you can hear the metaphorical thumbprints. Doubling down on the human gestures and flaws in the music, stuff that can’t be created using software.

    For example using only analogue synths with all their unpredictability, or not having instruments perfectly in tune. But it also lead to me picking up the violin, the oboe, or trying my hand on the drums – playing things I don’t really know how to play but getting something out of them that inspired me in ways I didn’t expect.

    Approaching the music with a sense of innocence and seeing where it took me. And where it took me was to the village.”

    He also announced a special DJ set:

    “I will be hosting a DJ set at The Social (5 Little Portland Street, London, W1W 7JD) on the 22nd September. Expect to hear the songs that sit beside the album’s foundation stones, everything from the gauzy otherness of Boards of Canada and Demdike Stare, the haunted ragas of Third Ear Band, to the creeping dread found in British children’s TV and other broadcasts from the ’70s. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charity.”

Notably, the group commented on the below post, asking the fast food chain to add a veggie burger to the menu.

    Gojira have announced a special benefit show for Operation Food Search in St. Louis, MO. The concert will take place at The Sovereign on September 18 and all proceeds will be donated to the food bank. Locked Shut will serve as support.

  • Man Caught Having Sex At 2026 Download Festival Pleads Guilty To Outraging Public Decency

    As previously reported, a man and a woman were caught in the middle of a sexual act on the Ferris wheel at this year’s Download Festival in Donnington, UK. Now, according to The Nottingham Post, the male, 33-year-old Innes Miller, has plead guilty to outraging public decency. During the trial, witnesses noted that the incident was inappropriate and that children were present. Miller‘s boss also saw the clip online and alerted him. Miller was charged £80 for the offense. He also had to pay £85 for court costs and a £32 victim surcharge. The woman, who met Miller that morning, was not prosecuted after admitting to the mistake. Miller’s charge was harsher due to a community order for a previous drug-driving offense.
