Stephen Brodsky (Cave In) is streaming an updated version of his acoustic take on Sense Field’s “Voice.” The track features a new mix from Zach Weeks and it will appear Brodsky’s new covers album “Cut To The Core Vol. 1” (out October 31). Brodsky commented:
“Endless thanks to a band that dared make such dreamy goodness in the face of what surrounded them at the time, and respect to Revelation Records for standing behind it.”
No Cure have shared a new cover of Until The End’s “Death Disguised As Salvation.” You can check that out below. The track was released in celebration of National Edge Day.
Wiltwither have premiered a new video for their new song “Obsolete.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Pure Light,” which will be released on October 31. Vocalist Nick Rendelman said the following about the single:
“’Obsolete’ takes place towards the end of the album and its story, with multiple characters telepathically projecting feelings of abandonment, betrayal, and resentment onto each other. It was really important for us to find a certain aggression for this track, as it’s the most abrupt callout-of-a-song we’ve ever written. This one is for anyone who has been harmed by someone they care for, and for the human reactions that come with it.”
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have premiered a new video for their new song “Perfection.” This track is from the band’s latest album “X’s For Eyes.” Ronnie Winter commented:
“[‘Perfection’ is] a song about perfect imperfections, about embracing one’s flaws and the true beauty that lies within. It’s a song about individuality, self-acceptance, and the idea that our scars and imperfections make us who we are. Through the lens of perfectly imperfect, what some might consider to be mistakes, flaws, and shortcomings suddenly become good, beautiful, even desirable. It’s a reminder that being perfectly imperfect is something not to hide but to celebrate.”
Despised Icon have premiered a new video for their new song “The Apparition.” This track is from the band’s new album “Shadow Work,” which will be released on October 31. Guitarist Eric Jarrin said the following about the single:
“We are really stoked to present this third single to all of you. ‘The Apparition’ holds a special place in my heart as it is the last song I wrote for this record. With the help of Alex for the arrangements, I allowed myself to push the melodic enveloppe a bit further and came up with one of the most crushing breakdowns on the album. This song also marks our first collaboration with Simon and Disjonctés Productions. Not only did he understand the very personal lyrics of ‘The Apparition,’ Simon found a very artistic way to translate it into images while encompassing the energy of the band performing. Thanks for watching.”
Denial Of Life have premiered a new video for their new song “Circle The Drain.” This track is from the band’s new EP, “Witness The Power,” which will be released on November 7. The group said the following about the video:
“The ‘Circle The Drain’ video was shot in Tacoma, Washington, around places we’ve been our whole lives. It captures the energy of the city we’re from and the music we make.”
Sabaton have premiered a new video for their new song “I, Emperor.” That track is inspired by Napoleon Bonaparte and it appears on the band’s newly released album “Legends.”
Frontman Joakim Brodén commented:
“Epic battles, bold moves and a rise from nothing to emperor. Napoleon is straight up legendary and his story is basically built for a Sabaton song. Plus, this one was greatly—and I mean greatly—requested by fans. So here it is… you asked, we delivered!”
Bassist Pär Sundström added:
“I was excited about ‘I, Emperor,’ because I’ve seen countless requests for us to write a song about Napoleon, which is usually a sign that fans will get excited about a song. This one’s got that anthem energy, and we’ve got a feeling it’s gonna be a fan favorite. It’s punchy, powerful and seriously catchy, that’s something we all felt when Joakim was singing along to the music during the filming of the video for the song. I can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks. I’m curious to see if fans think this one should make it into the setlist for future shows!”
