Nekrogoblikon Premiere New Song “The Magic Spider”

Nekrogoblikon have premiered a new song titled “The Magic Spider.” This track is from the band’s new album “Welcome To Bonkers,” which will be released on April 13.

Nicholas “Scorpion” Von Doom commented:

“We just wrapped up a month long U.S. tour in support of Rings Of Saturn. We were on the road with lots of bands- Gloom, Entheos, Lorna Shore, Allegaeon and Rings. We had so much fun on this tour. It was a blast to hang out with a bunch of other dudes who were down to have fun and be silly, since we’re definitely into that as well.

We decided that now, in celebration of that fun spirit, would be the perfect time to release ‘The Magic Spider‘ from our new album Welcome to Bonkers.

I think this is a very special song for us. I wanted to play around with odd time signatures and somehow stumbled across this piano riff that totally reminded me of the classic rock/AOR days. It almost has a Rick Wakeman/Yes vibe to it, but perhaps it’s a bit more flamboyant.

I love to imagine playing this song live, and just watching Raptor playing it under a spotlight as the song begins, and just thinking like- ‘this guy is the shit, man!’ The song goes on a special journey, from pop-prog to pop-punk to space-surf metal to tropical to epic choral to broadway to calypso to god knows what else. I really hope everyone enjoys the song as much as I do!”

Nekrogoblikon Premiere “Dressed As Goblins” Music Video

Nekrogoblikon have premiered a new video for their new song “Dressed As Goblins,” via Kerrang!. The clip, which was written and directed by Brendon Small (Deathklok, Galaktikon), serves as a follow-up to 2012’s “No One Survives“. The band’s new album “Welcome To Bonkers” will be released on April 13.

Guitarist Alex Alereza commented:

“Brendon came up with a dark and emotional, yet absurdly hilarious story about John Goblikon that really highlighted everything we’ve loved about the character. His vision was crystal clear and extremely ambitious (which isn’t surprising given his past work), so we were more than happy to just let him run with it. With narrative-style videos like this and our first one (‘No One Survives‘) the treatment comes first and then we choose the song that we feel best complements the story”

Nekrogoblikon Premiere New Song “The Skin Thief”, Reveal Details For New Album “Welcome To Bonkers”

Nekrogoblikon have premiered a new song titled “The Skin Thief.” This track is from the band’s new album “Welcome To Bonkers,” which will be released on April 13.

“Welcome To Bonkers” Track Listing:

01. “Mold”
02. “The Many Faces of Dr. Hubert Malbec”
03. “Row”
04. “Dressed as Goblins”
05. “Dragons”
06. “Thanks for Nothing, Moon”
07. “The Skin Thief”
08. “Darkness”
09. “The Magic Spider”
10. “Killing Time (and Space)”
11. “Goblins”

Alex “Goldberg” Alereza said the following about the new album:

“Since this was our first album with our new beast of a drummer Eric, we thought it would be fun to try writing something absolutely pummeling that really showcased his abilities. We ended up with a song that’s far heavier and more dramatic than anything we’ve done before, but still sounds 100% goblin metal. Plus, we are playing it live each and every night on the Rings Of Saturn tour, so be ready for chaos!”

Vocalist Nicholas “Scorpion” Von Doom added:

“We always like to change things up when writing new material. This time around, I pretty much wrote most of it, whereas we’ve had varying degrees of collaboration on past albums. I generally prioritize catchiness when writing, so it’s a catchy album. It was rad working with Jason “Vagina Dr. Dad Mr. Lippington” Suecof and he brought everything up another level.”
