Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators are planning to mix their new album in January. However, the effort won’t be released until 2027.
Slash said the following during a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk”:
“It’s done. We still have to mix it. I’m gonna mix it in January. I think it’s in January — somewhere in there when I get back — and mix it and finish it up. But it doesn’t come out till 2027. But then we’re gonna do a full-blown tour. And that’s the thing, is I had to find a window where I could do a full-scale tour with the Conspirators. And I didn’t wanna release it until I was able to do that, and 2027 is the real window for it. So that’s when the record comes out.”
He also added:
“It’s really cool — the record’s badass. All things considered, I don’t like to hype a record up, but I’m excited about it.”

As previously reported, Turnstile’s September 24 show at Brown’s Island in Richmond, VA ended in chaos after a police officer decided to break out his pepper spray. Now, new body cam footage has surfaced via CBS 6.
The incident occurred as the band were inviting fans onstage for a closing performance of “Birds.” Local law enforcement, who were recruited to assist security, started pushing back despite members of the band trying to assist fans. At one point, an officer discharged his pepper spray into one fan’s face. The chemical also spilled over to other concertgoers and members of the band. Richmond Sheriff Antionette Irving previously confirmed that an investigation had been launched into the situation. However, the findings are still under review and Irving has yet to comment further.
The teen who was spayed said the following in the footage while in pain and short of breath:
“I got shot with, like— I thought it was a beer or something, because people were going crazy the whole time. My face started burning. I couldn’t see anything, and then I went off to the side, yelled ‘pepper spray,’ because that’s what I thought it was, and it ended up being that.”
His father added:
“We were towards the back. They were up towards the front for most of the show. And the show ends, and his phone is calling me, and it’s the [expletive] bassist from Turnstile [Franz Lyons] who somehow got his phone and is like trying to get me to where my son is, and I can’t fathom why. And then I get there and he is laying in the fetal position, pepper sprayed. I don’t understand.”
Another individual also blasted the officer for claiming the incident was an accident:
“The fact that he lied about it is worse. He said he had it in his hand and didn’t realize the pin was out and it just fired out. I need to tell these guys at some point that he was disciplined in some way.”

“We will be releasing this new track tomorrow as part of a new initiative called, ‘Vault Of Shadows’ – A collection of ideas and songs for which there is no obvious place. A new idea will be uploaded EVERY FRIDAY until further notice. Exclusively on Bandcamp, not on any streaming services. The folder/album is a work in progress, so will be constantly changing and updated. This concept will eventually migrate back to the private music members club but only once things are consistent, operational and sustainable.
