Imminence have signed a new deal with Sumerian Records. With this news, the band have also shared a new video for their new single “The Sword That Never Bends.” You can check that out below:

    The group commented:

“We all knew from the start — this was a single. Everyone who heard it felt the same. ‘The Sword That Never Bends’ came alive in a way that immediately defined both the sound and the themes of where Imminence is headed next. It introduces a new dimension to our identity and carries a relentless energy that pulls you out from the shadows of ‘The Black.’

The writing process can best be summed up in one word: flow. Everything began in our home studio, where each piece fell into place almost effortlessly. It felt unmistakably like Imminence, yet shaped into something new — exactly the kind of song we’ve been striving to create for years.”

Sumerian Records founder Ash Avildsen added:

“Imminence is a band that has such presence, depth and world building to their music that I was instantly captivated when I first heard them. They are prolific story tellers of emotions. I have been pursuing them for years and am deeply honored they have chosen Sumerian for this next era of their career.”

  • Allegaeon Premiere “Dark Matter Dynamics” Video

Allegaeon have premiered a new video for their song “Dark Matter Dynamics.” You can check that out below. The track, which features Adrian Bellue, is from the band’s latest album “The Ossuary Lens.”

    Guitarist Greg Burgess commented:

“‘Dark Matter Dynamics’ is a very special song for me. Having the opportunity to explore my love for steel string acoustic music, and bringing it into the fold with Allegaeon, will forever be a source of pride. Not only that but exploring this marriage of two styles with an acoustic heavy weight Adrian Bellue was equally special.”

    Vocalist Ezra Haynes added:

“‘Dark Matter Dynamics’ is here and I am pumped! Over recent years, we’ve grown close with our good buddy, Adrian Bellue, and I’m thankful Greg introduced us! He rips on the guitar and he’s an even better friend. We’re especially excited to play ‘Dark Matter Dynamics’ Saturday night at Flatline Fest in Denver with Adrian himself!

The chorus gets me hyped! I think it’s the most jump-worthy Allegaeon riff ever written! This song has that classic, science-based Allegaeon vibe and theme, and it sonically showcases the album’s range, letting the track breathe with a soulful, atmospheric instrumental piece that contrasts perfectly with the heavy riffs surrounding it. Please enjoy ‘Dark Matter Dynamics.’”

  • Olivia Rodrigo Says Her Mom Skipped Her Lollapalooza Performance To Watch Korn

During a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Olivia Rodrigo discussed her set at last year’s Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, IL. Humorously, she also revealed that her mother Jennifer skipped her performance to watch Korn instead.

    Rodrigo said the following:

“My mom likes so many crazy metal bands, which you would never guess just looking at her. I headlined ‘Lollapalooza‘ last year, which was so awesome and such a dream of mine. But they have like headliners go at the same time. So, like on this specific day, it was me and Korn headlining at the same time on like opposite stages.

And everyone’s like, ‘Oh, that’s perfect. You know, the Olivia fans will go see Olivia, the Korn fans will go see Korn. You know, there’s really no overlap.’ But there was one overlap, and it was my mom. My mom skipped my show to go see Korn! I let her do it, I’m happy she got her night.”

  • Dark Tranquillity Planning To Release New Album In Late 2027

During a recent interview with Rock Hard, Dark Tranquillity vocalist Mikael Stanne offered an update on the band’s upcoming album. According to him, the effort will likely arrive in late 2027.

    Stanne said the following:

“It’s a lot of work in progress, actually. That’s what we’re doing right now. I’m going home tomorrow, and then we’re gonna head into the studio immediately, basically, and do… yeah, continue writing. We’ve been writing for a couple months already.

The idea is to have the album finished around the end of the year, and get it out after next summer. That’s how these things work. It takes forever, but it’s going really great, and I’m really excited. Sure, the pressure is on, but it’s always on. You always have to think, like, ‘How do we top the last one?’ But that’s why we take our time with it, [to] make sure that nothing is left to chance, everything is exactly what we want. And, yeah, it’s a very time-consuming process, but it’s one I really, really enjoy, actually. It’s mostly me and [guitarist] Johan [Reinholdz] and [keyboardist] Martin [Brändström] but everybody else is kind of involved during the early process as well. So, it’s gonna be really cool. I think we know ourselves better as a band now, so I think that’s gonna hopefully… I’m pretty sure it’s gonna translate into the songwriting and how the album’s gonna sound too. So it’s super exciting. I can’t wait.”
