  • Late Mastodon Guitarist Brent Hinds Featured On Marcus King’s “Red Door”

A solo from late Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds is featured on a Marcus King song titled “Red Door.” You can check that out below. The track appears on King‘s “Darling Blue” companion album “No Room For Blue.” Banker Handcrafted Guitars commented:

“For those who may not know, this song you are listening to has one of the last guitar solos Brent Hinds recorded. He slept on the living room couch for a week (or two, whose counting) with The Marcus King Band at the house they rented down in Macon, Georgia while they were writing and recording their latest record, Darlin’ Blue at the legendary Capricorn Studios. The final song on the companion release titled “Red Door” was one that Brent collaborated and performed on. Ever the stubborn perfectionist, he managed to do 278 takes before landing on the one he liked best. These are some photos I took while hanging out and watching it all unfold for a couple of days.”

  • Bruce Dickinson Shares Music Video For Reimagined Version Of “Tears Of The Dragon”

Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) has shared a new video for his reimagined version of “Tears Of The Dragon.” The frontman commented:

“When we reimagined the whole ‘More Balls To Picasso’ album, we always wanted to do an orchestral version of ‘Tears Of The Dragon.’ Antonio Teoli scored it and we recorded it, then we called up the filmmaker Leo Liberti who previously shot a load of live stuff for me in Brazil that was fabulous. We found this amazing location, an enormous old-school brewery that was almost like a renaissance building, and we made up the orchestra so they looked slightly zombified. All the House Band Of Hell band members are in the video and I gave them all instruments to play. The whole thing was brilliant madness. Leo also came up with the idea of having a ballet dancer interpreting the song, and she was amazing, poetic, and that adds an incredible extra-emotional dimension to the video.”

  • Profiler Premiere “Shadow” Video

Profiler have premiered a new video for their new song “Shadow.” The band commented:

“‘Shadow‘ is a track that discusses the theme of the inner critic by the philosopher Carl Jung. This song is a conversation with the inner shadow, symbolising a connection to the part of ourselves that we avoid, but needs to be addressed.”

  • Extinction A.D. Premiere New Song “Center Of Zero”

Extinction A.D. have premiered a new song titled “Center Of Zero.” Vocalist/guitarist Rick Jimenez said the following about the single:

“I spent some time reflecting on what I learned growing up in music, and not just the ideals that shaped me and the band but the friendships and bonds that were created through the metal and hardcore scenes. That also brings about the thoughts of who and what to avoid when creating something as pure as music should be. Usually XAD is exploring the negatives and how to survive through them but this was a reflection on how friendship through music has enriched my life.”
