  • Boston Manor Share Acoustic Version Of “Drowned In Gold”

Boston Manor have shared an acoustic version of their song “Drowned In Gold.” That take on the track will appear on the 10th anniversary edition of “Be Nothing.,” which is set to be released on August 14. Guitarist Mike Cunniff commented:

“‘Drowned In Gold’ was a really important song for us. It was written and recorded as a stand alone single with Mike Sapone while we were demoing new songs for ‘Welcome To The Neighbourhood.’ In my eyes it was the perfect transition from ‘Be Nothing.’ to ‘Welcome To The Neighbourhood’ and allowed us to become more experimental with our music.”

  • To The Grave Premiere “NAIL MARY” Music Video

To The Grave have premiered a new video for their new song “NAIL MARY.” This track is from the band’s new album, “LIBERATION FRONT,” which will be released on October 2.

Vocalist Dane Evans commented on the single:

“‘NAIL MARY‘ is about how people use religion and god to justify all kinds of atrocities and proclaim dominion over animals. We’re holding a torch (or chainsaw) to any kind of god or follower that demands ritual slaughter with this one and nailing them to the walls.”

He also added the following about the album:

“‘LIBERATION FRONT‘ was born as a concept on tour last year in Australia after we decided we wanted to make the sequel to ‘Director’s Cuts.’ What came out was something between that and a more pissed off brother to ‘Everyone’s A Murderer.’ It’s got so many things I love about the band and a bit of everything pushed to 100 with a really bleak kind of aggression that’s just reaching for your throat the entire time. Very keen to play some of these songs live and it’s an exciting chapter to add.”

    “LIBERATION FRONT” Track Listing:

    01. “MEAT THE HUMANS“
    02. “NAIL MARY“
    03. “TORTURE PORN“
    04. “EYESTALK ABLATIONS“

  • Amon Amarth Premiere “Upphaf” Music Video

Amon Amarth have premiered a new video for their new acoustic track “Upphaf.” The following was said about the single in a press release:

“The song strips away the fury of modern melodic heavy metal to reveal the ancient, skeletal frame of a Norse epic. Reimagined for the gathering space of a longhouse hearth, the song features hypnotic melodies and mesmerising quires. The stripped-back composition carries the solemnity of an oral history whispered under the shadow of the Allfather, proving the band’s interest in Oden cuts just as deep by firelight as it does on epic global stages. The single serves as the quiet moment to what lies ahead, before the fury of their next studio album.”

  • Accept Recruit Judas Priest, Scorpions, Etc. Members For New Version Of “Balls To The Wall”

Accept have shared a new version of their song “Balls To The Wall.” The updated track features Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Matthias Jabs (Scorpions), Rex Brown (Pantera), and Jason Bowld (Bullet For My Valentine). You can stream it below. The new take on the song is from Accept’s new guest-filled 50th anniversary album “Teutonic Titans 1976–2026″ (out September 4). Wolf Hoffmann commented:

“Rob is the Metal God. I don’t need to say any more about him. Once we knew that he would do it, it was an obvious choice to give him ‘Balls to the Wall’ because it’s the best fit imaginable! I played all the rhythm guitars. Matthias Jabs from Scorpions played the solo, which is very cool and a huge honor, and it’s Rex Brown on bass and Jason Bowld on drums. So that’s a really cool package.”

  • Sol Invicto Release Raw Instrumental Version Of Their “Loosely Aware” EP

Sol Invicto (Deftones, Cypress Hill, etc.) have released a raw instrumental version of their debut EP “Loosely Aware.” That take on the effort can be found through SUBVERT. This news comes as Sol Invicto are working on an updated version of “Initium II” with bassist Adrien Contreras (Will Haven). Producer and guitarist Richie Londres commented:

“This is the music in its true, raw original format, how it was always meant to be experienced. Being an instrumental project at its core, it felt overdue to put this out. I’m pleased to share it exclusively on the SUBVERT platform, which is very artist centric and very much against supporting the deluge of artificially generated music running rampant on most platforms.”
