“Hey everyone… still just a hardcore band over here. Covid has not forced us to become an internet provider in the Philippines yet, but we hope everyone over there gets their internet access back. While you’re here though click the link to our webstore and grab yourself a cool T-shirt or something. 😂😂😂😂.”

Ben Koller Offers Updates On New Material From Converge And Mutoid Man

During a recent appearance on the “BREWtally Speaking Podcast“, Ben Koller offered updates on new material from Converge and Mutoid Man. He said the following:

“Yea Converge, we have a ton of stuff ready to go. We just need to get in the studio and sort of hash it out. I think right now I’m at the point where I’m just ready to move on and start doing stuff, because I’m going crazy here not being able to tour and stuff. So I’m ready to fly back to Massachusetts—safely obviously—and get some stuff done. So Converge has stuff, Mutoid Man basically has a whole record ready to go. We just had to get the studio, find the time, but you know it’s a weird time and a lot of weird life stuff going on and yes, it’s, it’s just very strange. I mean I’m definitely stoked to record stuff but yeah it’s just a really weird time right now, but yeah expect new material it’s coming. Maybe slowly, but it’s coming.”

Converge Working On “Blood Moon” Album With Cave In’s Stephen Brodsky & Chelsea Wolfe

During an appearance on the Lead Singer Syndrome podcast, Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, etc.) revealed that Converge are working on a new album with their “Blood Moon” lineup. That project, which also featured Brodsky, Chelsea Wolfe, and Wolfe’s guitarist Ben Chisholm, previously performed live in 2016.

Brodsky said the following:

“Next year, Converge actually is gonna be doing some stuff with ‘Blood Moon‘—which is really exciting, because ‘Blood Moon‘ is this project that they did a few years ago where they went out and toured with some additional members; myself, Cheslea Wolfe and Ben [Chisholm] from Chelsea‘s band.

And we went out and did all the sort of bastard child songs, like all the deep cuts from Converge records that sound like studio experiments or stuff that they weren’t able to pull off live because they wanted more members onstage to really do the songs justice.

And that experiment went really well and the idea was like ‘well, hey why don’t we write some stuff for this lineup and put out a record?’ So three years later we’re actually getting together and doing it. So that’s supposed to come together next year. That’s pretty exciting to me.

I can tell ya, we’ve already done some writing for it and the material we’ve come up for it is really, really cool. Definitely a next step for Converge and I’m really psyched to be a part of it.”
