Converge Working On “Blood Moon” Album With Cave In’s Stephen Brodsky & Chelsea Wolfe

During an appearance on the Lead Singer Syndrome podcast, Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, etc.) revealed that Converge are working on a new album with their “Blood Moon” lineup. That project, which also featured Brodsky, Chelsea Wolfe, and Wolfe’s guitarist Ben Chisholm, previously performed live in 2016.

Brodsky said the following:

“Next year, Converge actually is gonna be doing some stuff with ‘Blood Moon‘—which is really exciting, because ‘Blood Moon‘ is this project that they did a few years ago where they went out and toured with some additional members; myself, Cheslea Wolfe and Ben [Chisholm] from Chelsea‘s band.

And we went out and did all the sort of bastard child songs, like all the deep cuts from Converge records that sound like studio experiments or stuff that they weren’t able to pull off live because they wanted more members onstage to really do the songs justice.

And that experiment went really well and the idea was like ‘well, hey why don’t we write some stuff for this lineup and put out a record?’ So three years later we’re actually getting together and doing it. So that’s supposed to come together next year. That’s pretty exciting to me.

I can tell ya, we’ve already done some writing for it and the material we’ve come up for it is really, really cool. Definitely a next step for Converge and I’m really psyched to be a part of it.”

Had my first post op appointment yesterday and the Robocop arm is looking good. I can’t express in words how moving it is to have so much support from family, friends and fans. What happened is my worst nightmare and I now officially know where my pain threshold is. I plan on crushing physical therapy when I get my staples out next week and the plan is to be able to still go to Japan with @converge in February. It’s hard to imagine that right now but I plan on doing everything in my power to get this thing back to 100% as soon as possible. Once again I’m forever indebted to anyone that has donated to the gofundme, especially @yivvyjukes @stephenbrodsky and @sargenthouse for setting it up. Link is in my bio. Does anyone want to see the staples or is that too gross? It looks insane. Love you guys ❤️🖤❤️🖤
