Youth Code & King Yosef Premiere “Burner” Video

Youth Code and King Yosef have premiered a new video for their new song “Burner.” This track is from their new collaborative album “A Skeleton Key In The Doors Of Depression,“ which will be released on March 9. Youth Code’s Sara Taylor told Revolver the following:

“The video for ‘Burner‘ puts into perspective the duality of our everyday personas dissected into light and shadow. The constant state of monotony and struggle can lead us to a breaking point within ourselves, and to a path where we might not realize that the actual problem needing to be addressed is us as humans instead of what surrounds us. Is it nature or nurture? What if we are simply being challenged by something we can’t actually see? This song’s lyrics and visuals are a testament of challenge, and we hope you enjoy them.”

Slipknot’s Jay Weinberg Shares His Take On Youth Code’s “Puzzle”

Slipknot’s Jay Weinberg has shared his take on Youth Code’s “Puzzle.” You can check that out below. The drummer commented:

“Inspired by their contribution to the ISOLATE/CREATE project, I recorded a take of “Puzzle,” by my friends Youth Code. ISOLATE/CREATE is a free resource providing creatives with digital assets to spark creativity and inspire digital collaboration, all while still helping flatten the curve during the COVID-19 crisis. This was recorded on a Roland TD-50 V-Drum kit, through Kurt Ballou’s (Converge, God City Studios) Signature Series Room Sound drum library.”

2018 FYF Fest Cancelled

The 2018 FYF Fest has been cancelled. The event was originally set to take place at the Exposition Park in Los Angeles, CA on July 21-22. There wasn’t too much for rock/metal fans at the festival, but Glassjaw and Youth Code were both scheduled to perform alongside other artists like Janet Jackson, Florence + The Machine, My Bloody Valentine, Future, St. Vincent, etc. The organizers commented:

“After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to cancel FYF Fest 2018.

Our team of many women and men have worked tirelessly on this event for many years but felt unable to present an experience on par with the expectations of our loyal fans and the Los Angeles music community this year.

We will be announcing some special local shows soon, featuring some of the amazing artists from the 2018 line up.

Ticket purchasers will automatically receive full refunds, including all service charges, beginning this Monday, May 7th, 2018. There is no action necessary on your end to receive a refund. You will receive an email notification from Festival Ticketing once your order is cancelled and refunded. Please allow 5 to 7 business days for the funds to appear in your bank account.”

Billboard say low ticket sales affected the decision.
