• Down Tease New Video

Down are planning to release a new music video on February 13. The band shared the below teaser:

  • Hellripper Premiere “Coronach” Video

Hellripper have shared an official video for the title track of their new album “Coronach.” That effort will be released on March 27.

    James McBain commented:

“A coronach is a vocal lament traditionally performed at funerals in the Scottish highlands. Intertwined with my own words is the poem of the same name by Sir Walter Scott, which served as an inspiration for this story: the funeral of an ambivalent and mysterious figure, revered by his community for his heroic deeds but whose life hid many dark secrets. As well as lyrically, the track is also a musical experiment for me; it was primarily influenced by late 80’s thrash metal along with bands like Bathory, Gallowbraid and Atlantean Kodex. A dash of post-punk, a fair amount of Iron Maiden-style guitar harmonies, some classical references and the haunting wail of the bagpipes fading in the distance: this song feels like the perfect farewell to the album.”

  • Knocked Loose Team Up With Rapper Denzel Curry For New Song “Hive Mind”

Knocked Loose have teamed up with rapper Denzel Curry for a new song titled “Hive Mind.” You can find an official video for that track below. Vocalist Brian Garris said the following about the single:

“This is something we’ve talked about doing for a long time. We wondered if we could pull it off and who would be down. In the very beginning, we said for it to work, it would have to be Denzel Curry. Because he gets it.”

  • Corrosion Of Conformity Announce New Double Album “Good God / Baad Man”

Corrosion Of Conformity have announced a new double album titled “Good God / Baad Man.” The effort will be released on April 3 and a video for its first single, “Gimme Some Moore,” can be found below. Notably, the new track also includes guest gang vocals from Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen and Madonna guitarist Monte Pittman.

“Good God / Baad Man” Track Listing:

    01. “Good God? / Final Dawn“
    02. “You Or Me“
    03. “Gimme Some Moore“
    04. “The Handler“
    05. “Bedouin’s Hand“
    06. “Run For Your Life“
    07. “Baad Man“
    08. “Lose Yourself“
    09. “Mandra Sonos“
    10. “Asleep On The Killing Floor“
    11. “Handcuff County“
    12. “Swallowing The Anchor“
    13. “Brickman“
    14. “Forever Amplified“

    Vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan commented:

“Our producer, Warren Riker, kept calling it Dark Side Of The Doom. In my head, it’s a weird love letter to all things rock ‘n’ roll. We used that for the freedom to go in different directions. Each album is its own tiny universe and has its own identity. Good God leans toward the heavier/pissed end of the spectrum. Baad Man is more on the throwdown rock scope. As we went along, it became clear which songs went on which album.”

This tour is designed to be an elevated version of our show, a heightened experience with production that reflects 25 years of learning how to stretch artistically in the live environment.

When we printed the last mix of ‘Bleed American‘, we felt like we had achieved something great for ourselves. There was no barometer of how it would connect with people outside of the studio, and we are still in awe with the life the record and songs have had since their original release. ‘Bleed American‘ is as much yours as it is ours, so we want to celebrate it with you all in a very special way.”

  • Ernesto Colon (Ex-Merauder) Passes Away

Former Merauder guitarist Ernesto Colon has sadly passed away. The band briefly commented:

“A very sad day today, RIP Ernesto Colon aka Pito (xmerauder guitarist) 😞🙏🏽🇵🇷”

  • Space Of Variations Premiere “Parallel Realities” Video

Space Of Variations have premiered a new video for their new song “Parallel Realities.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Poisoned Art,” which will be released on February 13. The group commented:

“‘Parallel Realities’ was meant to be the first single from ‘Poisoned Art,’ yet it became the last one before the album’s release. This song captures the final moment before the end — when fear fades, meaning becomes clear, and hope survives in the belief that we’ll find our loved ones in another life.”

  • Twisted Sister Guitarist Jay Jay French On Cancelled 50th Anniversary Reunion Shows: “We Had No Other Choice”

Twisted Sister guitarist Jay Jay French has further commented on having to cancel the band’s 50th shows due to singer Dee Snider’s health issues. According to him, the group “had no other choice.”

    French said the following:

“Today [February 7] is the actual 50th anniversary of the day that Dee auditioned in the band. 1976. Here’s the diary entry. ‘Danny Snider’ — he wasn’t Dee yet — ‘auditions for TWISTED SISTER’, February 7th, 1976.

For the last 50 years, me and [TWISTED SISTER guitarist] Eddie [Ojeda] have stood side by side with Dee, not with hundreds of shows, but with thousands of shows.

You know the cliché in sports, when a great sportsman retires, they say he left it on the field. Well, I can tell you when it comes to Dee, he left it on the stage. He gave everything his all, and his body is now telling him, ‘I can’t give you anymore.’ And when someone tells you that, you have to accept it and you have to move on. So please understand this was a tough decision, but we had no other choice but to cancel these dates.

As far as the future of TWISTED SISTER is concerned, Eddie Ojeda and I will have conversations in the next couple of weeks to discuss what, if any, options exist for us to continue.

Until then, just know that the SMFs [an abbreviation for ‘Sick Mother Fucker’, which is what TWISTED SISTER fans are affectionately called] around the world are the thing that kept us alive and kept us going, and we love you guys and we will do everything we can to always live up to your expectations as fans, ’cause nobody understands fandom more than us. We appreciate everything that you’ve ever done for us and hopefully we’ll see you again in the future. Thank you.”

  • Masterplan Premiere “Chase The Light” Video

Masterplan, the project featuring former Helloween guitarist Roland Grapow, have premiered a new video for their new song “Chase The Light.” This track will appear on the band’s new album, “Metalmorphosis,” which will be released on June 26.

    Grapow commented on the song:

“[It’s] a dark and aggressive track about fear, control, and a world that feeds on pain. It shows how power rises while compassion fades, trapping people in silence and despair. The song pushes through chaos and suffering toward release — a call to break free, heal old wounds, and reclaim your strength.”

He also added the following about the album:

“‘Metalmorphosis’ really captures what this album means to us: a transformation, but still true to the spirit of Masterplan. We’ve grown over the years, both as musicians and as people, and you can hear that in the new songs. Some ideas go back many years, and now they’ve finally come to life. It’s powerful, melodic, and emotional — classic Masterplan, but with a new energy”.

    “Metalmorphosis” Track Listing:

    01. “Chase The Light”
    02. “Electric Nights”
    03. “Shadow Man”
    04. “Bound To Fall”
    05. “Pain Of Yesterday”
    06. “Metalmorphosis”
    07. “Through The Storm”
    08. “Ghostlight”
    09. “The Call”
    10. “Rise Again” (album version)

  • Ex-Mushroomhead Singer Jeffrey Nothing Reaches Settlement With Drummer Steve “Skinny” Felton In Case Over Unpaid Royalties

Former Mushroomhead singer Jeffrey Lewis Hetrick (aka Jeffrey Nothing) has reached a settlement with the band’s drummer Steve “Skinny” Felton. This news comes after he filed a lawsuit against Felton over copyright infringement and unpaid royalties.

The follwing was said about the settlement:

“The parties have settled their disputes, and this action is hereby dismissed with prejudice pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(a), the parties to bear their own attorney fees, expenses and costs incurred herein. The parties expressly agree that this Court shall retain jurisdiction over any action for breach or enforcement of their settlement agreement.”

    Hetrick also commented:

“As a lot of you know, there has been an ongoing lawsuit between myself and my former band. I’m happy to report that the situation is settled and over.

From here out, there will be nothing negative about Mushroomhead or Skinny on my page. He came to the table amicably and honorably and we found a solution that made both of us happy.

Skinny and I founded Mushroomhead and it’s great to see the fanbase and community it has built. I’m proud of that and I know he is. Mushroomhead is his and I wish him the best. My creative baby is now my solo work. Will I ever work with Shroom again? Time will tell. I’m not against it. But I have no ill feelings either way. I want everybody to win.

Thank you all for your years of support and for having my back when it was needed, but from here on out it’s nothing but positivity in that direction. I said I was done with drama and I meant it. Love you guys!”
