Silvertomb (ex-Type O Negative, etc.) have premiered an animated video for their song “So True.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Edge Of Existence.” Kenny Hickey commented:

“This song was written in desperation and from the gut at a time when I was at one of the lowest points in my alcohol abuse. It’s a basic purging of every trauma, insecurity, and anxiety that led up to that point in my life. So for the ‘So True‘ video, we tried to capture how a negative self-image and a lust for power can be turned outward and onto society to become a destructive force.”

Silvertomb (ex-Type O Negative/Agnostic Front, etc.) have premiered a new song titled “Right Of Passage / Crossing Over.” This track is from the band’s new album “Edge Of Existence,” which will be released on November 1.

Kenny Hickey commented:

“There’s something wrong with my generation: the 90’s generation of musicians specifically. Why we were so prone to suicide and OD’s is still a question to be answered with any clarity. ‘Right of Passage‘ poses the question of whether we have the inherent right to choose our own time and type of death.

I had my own botched attempt at suicide in 2009 and I’m happy now it wasn’t successful. The artwork for the single release of this song is an actual picture of my face after I was hit by a truck in 2018. I broke my face and head and severely injured my shoulder and had multiple surgery’s since. Survival is often a serious pain in the ass.”

Silvertomb (ex-Type O Negative/Agnostic Front, etc.) have premiered a new song titled “Waiting.” This track is from the band’s new album “Edge Of Existence,” which will be released on November 1.

Kenny Hickey commented:

“After a long night in the studio wrestling with key changes and heavy riffs I became frustrated and picked up my acoustic and this song just sort of spilled out at 3AM. It was completed in around 15 minutes. I guess it was just what I needed: a straight up simple rock song to put my feet back on the ground.

I decided to end the record with it to refresh the ear after 36 minutes of dirge and weighty tuned down sludge, so it actually shares with the listener the state of mind I was in when it was written. It’s a song about wasting time and emotional energy over the things you’ve lost in life and the things you could never have.”

Silvertomb (ex-Type O Negative/Agnostic Front, etc.) have premiered a new song titled “Love You Without No Lies.” This track is from the band’s new album “Edge Of Existence,” which will be released on November 1.

Kenny Hickey (ex-Type O Negative) commented:

“The first song written for the record ‘Edge Of Existence‘, ‘Love You Without No Lies‘ was conceived before keyboardist Aaron Joos was added to the lineup. Keyboard was then retrofitted into the song. The piano intro was originally a guitar intro played by Joe James and distorted keys were added to the verses and Hammond organs to the choruses. The lyrics question whether love is possible without some degree of conscious concealment or dishonesty.”
