Autopsy Premiere “Knife Slice Axe Chop” Video

Autopsy have premiered a new video for their new song “Knife Slice Axe Chop.” This track is from the band’s new album “Morbidity Triumphant,” which will be released on September 30. Chris Reifert commented:

“Ever headbanged and barfed at the same time? Check out the video for our new song ‘Knife Slice, Axe Chop‘ and see how it feels. Our buddy Cam and his crew of lunatics at Rabidog Films and The Butchers Shop have given us the blood ‘n guts fest that we’ve always wanted and we can’t wait for you, our beloved Autopsy freaks to shove this nightmare into your eyes and ears. Tell yer pals!”

Autopsy Premiere New Song “Skin By Skin”

Autopsy have premiered a new song titled “Skin By Skin.” This track is from the band’s new album “Morbidity Triumphant,” which will be released on September 30. Chris Reifert commented:

“Here’s one to crawl under your skin and rot you from the inside out. Eric Cutler has a knack for writing riffs that creep even us, the band out and this song is a perfect example of that. Get ready to feel uncomfortable, foam at the mouth and bang your fiendish head at the same time!”

Autopsy To Release New Album “Morbidity Triumphant” In September

Autopsy will be releasing a new album, titled “Morbidity Triumphant,” on September 30. A teaser for the effort can be found below:

“Morbidity Triumphant” Track Listing:

01. “Stab The Brain”
02. “Final Frost”
03. “The Voracious One”
04. “Born In Blood”
05. “Flesh Strewn Temple”
06. “Tapestry Of Scars”
07. “Knife Slice, Axe Chop”
08. “Skin By Skin”
09. “Maggots In The Mirror”
10. “Slaughterer Of Souls”
11. “Your Eyes Will Turn To Dust”

Notably, the record will be the band’s first to feature bassist Greg Wilkinson. Drummer/vocalist Chris Reifert said the following about that:

“Working with Greg on the Autopsy record was totally different than the Static Abyss one, mostly since Autopsy is a complete band with their own pre-established ways of doing things – we just abducted him into the band and had him roll with our ways, which he took to like a fish to gasoline so much so that he contributed a song musically which fit in perfectly with the rest of the sickening anthems on the album.”

Reifert also commented on the effort’s cover art:

“Wes [Benscoter] delivered another stunner. What a maniac! We didn’t give him much to work with as usual. I think, maybe, just a couple of songtitles and themes maybe and his imagination did most of the work. The album title came along after the fact. After having our minds blown by Wes’s art, we arrived at ‘Morbidity Triumphant’ which seemed to fit the theme of the painting as well as the way we feel about the state of the band in general. We’ve been working hard at our sick craft with zero compromise and it seems we’re still hitting our stride somehow.”

Autopsy Part Ways With Bassist Joe Trevisano

Autopsy have parted ways with Joe Trevisano. The bassist is leaving the group to focus on his family life.

The band commented:

“Autopsy news update…

Surreal as it is, our long time bass player and friend Joe Trevisano has left the band.

Joe has been making records and kicking ass on stage all over the world with us for the entire chapter two of Autopsy going back to 2008. And before that he was in Abscess going back to 1997, and even before that…we knew Joe from the local scene around 1991 when he was in Von, so we have a long history together. Let it be known the split is on good terms.

Joe has decided to shift his focus to his family and we support him on this 100% and will always consider him part of the Autopsy gang.

In the meantime fear not, Autopsy will continue to forge ahead and we will keep you all posted on developments. We are not done crushing your skulls yet, so consider yourselves warned.”

Bloodbath & Autopsy To Release New Split 7″

Bloodbath and Autopsy will celebrating Peaceville‘s 30th anniversary with a new split 7″. The effort will be available on December 15, and it will feature Bloodbath’s cover of Cancer‘s “Blood Bath” and Autopsy’s cover of “Fuck You!!!” from the 1980s West Oakland group Bloodbath. You can preorder it HERE.

Bloodbath commented:

“Most of you would know this already, but for those of you who don’t, it was the title of the first song, on the first album by UK death metallers Cancer, which we originally lifted our band name from. Now with Peaceville celebrating its 30th anniversary, there would be no better token than offering this cover song to glorify the old school, brutal and trashy death metal legacy of Cancer fucking Cancer, once more! And as if it couldn’t get any better, we’ve the honor to split these seven inches with gore legends Autopsy who also bathe in their own blood!”

Autopsy added:

“‘Fuck You!!!‘ is a cover song of a cover song….and the only song we’ve ever considered covering. Eric and I loved the version that Danny‘s old band Bloodbath did before we even knew Danny, let alone knowing that he’d end up joining Autopsy. And Danny didn’t even know it was a cover song at the time! Got it? It’s a crazy world and a crazy song.

It’s also a cool tribute to Dane Petersen (R.I.P.), the original Bloodbath vocalist. We feel we gave it the treatment it deserved….now it’s up to you to crank it up and hold those middle fingers high!.”
