“The following is a document of true events. Our aim is for this piece to be a fire escape from the fiction known as whiteness and a spring for discovery. Remember, the children are always watching.”

Tool’s Adam Jones Shares New Short Film “The Witness”

Tool’s Adam Jones is celebrating the announcement of his new 1979 Les Paul Custom guitar with a new short film called “The Witness.” The clip, which features music from Jones and his Tool bandmates Danny Carey and Justin Chancellor, was produced by Tim Dawson and mixed by Joe Barresi. Gibson‘s CMO Cesar Gueikian commented:

“I’m proud to finally show the world the first release in our multi-year partnership with Adam Jones. Adam is one of the most talented and sonically innovative guitarists. I call him modern riff lord and sonic architect. His creativity and technical ability in music, visual effects, production, videography and beyond is second to none and our collaboration is a true reflection of Adam. The Gibson Les Paul Custom Adam Jones 1979 Silverburst Aged replica version is the first-ever artist collaboration done at the newly created Gibson Custom Shop Murphy Lab. I hope that fans fall in love with the guitars, starting with this initial release.”

Trash Talk have released a new short film titled “Something Wicked.” The clip, which was directed by Derek Schklar, is a “visual reimagination” of Edgar Allan Poe’s “William Wilson” and it features tracks from the band’s latest EP “Squalor.”

Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Etc.) To Appear In New Horror Short Film “Metavision”

Greg Puciato (The Dillinger Escape Plan, etc.) will be featured in an upcoming horror short film called “Megavision.” The clip, which will also include an appearance from David Yow (The Jesus Lizard), was directed by Jai Love (“Dead Hands Dig Deep”) and it will debut on October 15 as part of the “Screamfest” in Van Nuys, CA. Puciato commented:

“I had actually just seen Jai’s film, ‘Dead Hands Dig Deep,’ when he reached out to me. Life is full of synchronicities. This is the second time I’ve been asked to kill someone in a video of some sort, the first time being in a music video. I dunno what that says about me. This time it was like ‘Can you kill someone, while cackling with laughter, with David Yow?’ Uh yeah, I think I’m exactly your guy. Tell me when and where.”
