Fear Factory’s Dino Cazares On New Album Progress: “We’re 99% Into The Process”
During a recent interview with Music On 11 With Jimmy Black, Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares offered an update on the band’s new album. He said the following:
“We’re 99% into the process [of making the new Fear Factory album]. One of the main things is choosing who we’re gonna [get to] mix the record. So all that is information that will be coming out soon.”

Failure Have A New Album Finished
During a recent appearance on “Waterproof Records With Jacob Givens,” Failure drummer Kelli Scott revealed that the band have a new album finished. However, release plans for the effort are still pending.
Scott said the following:
“We’re constantly working. Yes, there’s a new record. Not sure when or how it’s going to come out. Like it’s sitting around, you know? Clearly the film [“Every Time You Lose Your Mind”] and getting it released and doing the premiere ourself — like Hulu didn’t help with that… The record’s been done. The record was done before that premiere.
And it’s just a matter of we have new management, we have a new agent and they collectively think that we should release this in a different way than we have been releasing our previous records, which is ourselves on Failure Records and you can only buy them through our website. Which is fine. I love that. It’s the first time like I think in all of our lives that penny one comes back to the band.
Like first we get to pay ourselves off for the money we spent to make those things. But then collectively like we actually make a little bit of money, and then we get to put away our own money to pay for the tours that we’re going to do on those records, and make videos or whatever. We’re self-funded at this point — by no means rich — but it I mean it’s a great feeling to not have to go to someone else and bargain away 85% of your value for the rest of your life.”

Disturbed Singer David Draiman Blasts John Cusack After The Actor Criticizes His Artillery Shell Signing
Actor John Cusack (“Hot Tub Time Machine”, etc.) recently took a shot at Disturbed’s David Draiman after seeing the infamous photo of him signing an artillery shell in Israel. As such, the singer has since fired back.
The interaction started after an X user shared the photo, along with the following caption:
“If there was someone shot in the head tonight in Cork City and my signature was found on the bullet, would you give me a gig @mcd_productions???? Ye will forever be a disgrace to this country if ye go ahead with this David Drainman gig next Wednesday in Dublin.”
This caught the attention of Cusack, who said the following:
“Anyone who signs a bomb is pyycotic”
Draiman then fired back:
“Hello @johncusack, my old friend.
It isn’t psychotic to defend oneself from a genocidal death cult, hell bent on slaughtering you.
What’s psychotic, is you defending that genocidal, Jew hating death cult, the way you have for years.
You want psychotic? Look in the mirror.”

The Cult To “Step Away From Touring For An Undetermined Amount Of Time”
It looks like The Cult will be taking a break following their immediate live shows. The band are planning to “step away from touring for an undetermined amount of time.”
The band commented:
“Mother Nature has a cycle of change and evolution that is inevitable. The moon’s phases change, tides rise and fall. Change is necessary for creation and rebirth.
It is with this in mind that, following the remaining dates on our current North American The Cult/Death Cult 8525 Tour, we have decided to step away from touring for an undetermined amount of time. We have toured extensively over the last few years and we shall now shift our focus to writing, recording new music, and exploring other projects that shall be revealed over time. It is a time for us to turn inward to recharge our spiritual batteries.
When we return to the stage, it shall be with an even stronger fire and energy that we will share with all of you.
Ours is a communal bond, and it will not be broken, simply paused.
Until then, we have five remaining shows on this current tour, culminating at The Shrine in Los Angeles on Oct 30. Please join us for what has been an incredible celebration of 40 years of The Cult and Death Cult.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and support. It keeps us alive.”
Billy Duffy continued:
“It’s been a beautiful three years celebrating our music with The Cult family around the world. Now it’s time to go home and spend time with our own families, and create some new music”
Ian Astbury added:
“My deepest gratitude to all who attended and immersed themselves in our world. I am deeply grateful to be connected to our Cult family as we ready ourselves for our final five shows for some time, and we take the opportunity to dive deeper into our next creative adventures. More shall be revealed. Blessings to you all.”
Here’s their remaining live dates:
10/24 Las Vegas, NV – The Pearl
10/25 Phoenix, AZ – Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum
10/27 San Francisco, CA – The Warfield
10/29 Del Mar, CA – The Sound
