  • The Casualties Premiere New Song “Detonate”

The Casualties have shared the title track of their new album “Detonate.” You can check that out below. The record will be released on March 27.

Drummer Marc “Meggers” Eggers had the following to say about the single:

“It stems from being overloaded. You feel like your head is about to explode, which I think is what everybody is feeling these days. You’re pounced on day by day with terrible news and social media, and you just feel like you’re going to snap.”

Guitarist Jake Kolatis also commented on the album:

“There are continuous wars and internal political battles. Everybody’s tearing each other apart. Detonate is saying we’re tired of all this division. With this record, we have a chance to say something and promote some type of unity.”

    Frontman David Rodriguez added:

“I want people to feel empowered when they hear this record. I want them to feel like they have a voice. I want them to feel like they’re with like-minded people when they come to a Casualties show. They can be themselves and not watch the show but be part of the show—scream with us, jump off the stage. We want them to feel like they’re part of something.”

  • GoFundMe Launched For Partner Of Voivod Vocalist Denis “Snake” Bélanger Amid Her Cancer Battle

Christine McDonald, the partner of Voivod vocalist Denis “Snake” Bélanger, has been diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer. You can help her out by donating through GoFundMe.

    The band commented:

    “Dear friends & fans

We’re reaching out today for someone that is part to the Voivod family.

Christine McDonald, the partner of Denis “Snake” Bélanger, was diagnosed in October with Stage 4 colorectal cancer. The cancer has spread, and while treatment is ongoing and showing some positive results, it is intensive and demanding.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help cover medical supplies, travel, treatment costs, and living expenses during this time, as the situation has significantly impacted Christine‘s ability to work.

It has also affected Denis‘ ability to maintain his regular work commitments, as much of his time is now devoted to supporting Christine through treatment and recovery. Together, this has created serious financial strain due to treatment-related expenses and lost income.

If you are able to support, share, or contribute in any way, it would mean a great deal.

Thank you for standing with Christine and Snake.

    — Voivod“

  • Rollin’ Coffin Premiere “Sun And Rain” Video

Rollin’ Coffin, the project featuring Tim Williams (Vision Of Disorder, ex-Bloodsimple), have shared a new video for their song “Sun And Rain.” You can check that out below:

    Williams previously commented:

“Getting back into the studio with [producer] Machine was a long time coming. We have a relationship that goes back 25 years. He is one of my favorite producers to work with, especially when it comes to vocals. My ideas for ‘Sun and Rain‘ pretty much set when we started tracking the song. The vocals had to really carry the song; they needed to carry the song to the next level. The ideas started flying all over the place; the further we got the harder we worked, and the song was just getting bigger and better. It was a very exciting day in the studio, to say the least.

I’m always working on some sort of self-expression- mostly music, writing, and art. So I had the ruff demo to ‘Sun and Rain‘ kicking around. I was away on vacation in a hot tub after a long ski day. The chorus just popped into my head, and I said to myself- this song has to be heard; it’s a killer song. When I got back to town, I immediately started brainstorming on production, scheduling, and flights. It came together very quickly and sure sign of a good idea.

The track is inspired by the forces cast upon us in life. The push and pull, the strength and fear, good and bad. These threads of light take us on our journeys. The randomness of it all and how in a moment, it all can be taken away. ‘Who are you to take away my life.’”
