My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way is featured on the title track of Frozen Soul’s new album “No Place Of Warmth.” You can find a video for that song below. The album will be released on May 8.
Vocalist Chad Green commented on the single:
“[It’s] about life at its coldest and the choice you have to let it consume you, or to use it to find warmth in a world that feels void of it. Life is always coming at you, and death doesn’t stop—you might slow it down, but it’s always coming—so you have to make the best out of it and march on.”
He also explained how Way got involved:
“We met Gerard a couple of years ago and have become friends. I knew he had a love for metal, so I spun the idea to him about singing in a Frozen Soul song and he was stoked! Gerard is an amazing artist and musician whose creative vision has shaped generations and more to come.”
He discussed the video as well:
“The lead character attempts to keep her dagger with rosary beads away from Death, as a stand to say we won’t be afraid of what’s coming and we will live happy with the memories and experiences of our time here.”
Green also added the following about the album:
“Each song on this record has its own meaning and influences that helped make them what they are, but in their essence are written to give the listener that extra push and power they need to fight those everyday battles. These songs are built to say ‘We won’t be swept away by its winds; we can and we will move forward.’”
He also talked about the various guest features, which include Way, Devin Swank (Sanguisugabogg) and Robb Flynn (Machine Head):
“Anytime we have features, it’s with friends and bands that we love and respect who share the same feelings and emotion that we’re trying to get across in the song. Gerard, Rob and Devin all added their own unique styles and love into the songs and really helped bring them to life. It was an absolute pleasure working with them.”

Imminence have shared a live performance of “Beyond The Pale” with a string quartet. You can check that out below. The video was recorded at the Ystads Teater in Ystad, Sweden. The track appears on the band’s latest album “The Black.”
Dark Divine have premiered a new song titled “Midnight Masquerade.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Undead Melody,” which will be released on May 29. Vocalist Anthony Martinez commented:
“’Midnight Masquerade’ came about in a very interesting way. While on tour, I was listening to a podcast about elite, secret society parties and their cult-like activities. The idea of desperation to be somebody resulting in one casting aside their humanity and morality was such a disturbing concept to me that it stuck in my head until it came time to hit the studio. On that drive I had also drawn many parallels between concepts of these secret society parties with the lyrics of my favorite song of all time, ‘Hotel California.’ Many people believe that song to be about drugs, but I now believe that song could have been written in a much more literal sense. ‘Midnight Masquerade’ is essentially my homage to ‘Hotel California’ through the lens of secret, elite, ‘Eyes Wide Shut’-esque gatherings.”
Zachary Baker, aka Avenged Sevenfold guitarist Zacky Vengeance, has premiered a new song titled “Lighthouse.” You can check that out below. The track is from his new country solo album, “Dark Horse,” which will be released on April 3.
Beartooth have premiered a new video for their new song “Free.” You can check that out below. Frontman Caleb Shomo said the following about the single:
“‘Free‘ is the start of the next chapter of my music and my life. The emotional roller coaster that is living can be very complicated at times. In one day you can equally experience pure fear and pure joy. This song shows a glimpse of what is to come from the next Beartooth album, which is the most honest depiction of my soul I will most likely ever make.”
Atreyu have announced a new album titled “The End Is Not The End.” The effort will be released on April 24 and it can be pre-ordered HERE.

Frontman Brandon Saller commented:
“We realized what made Atreyu great in the beginning was that we didn’t sound like anyone else. We didn’t really make sense anywhere. We weren’t an emo band, a metal band, a punk band — but somehow it all worked. We kind of just carved our own path.”
He continued:
“It’s our heaviest, most metal record we’ve made. But it’s also the biggest musical journey we’ve taken in years.”
He also discussed working on material in Japan:
“Tokyo made us feel like kids again. We’d write for a few hours in the morning, then go out and get lost in all this inspiration. The first song we finished was ‘Dead,’ and we knew we were onto something.”
He also added the following about switching things up by moving the sessions to San Juan Island:
“It was the polar opposite of Tokyo. We didn’t leave the house for four days and wrote some of the heaviest songs on the record.”
A video for the effort’s latest single, “All For You,” can be found below. The band also had the following to say about that track:
“It’s hard to give someone what they want or need when they don’t know what that thing is. It’s hard to love someone who doesn’t love themselves.”
Haste The Day have premiered a new song titled “Liminal.” The track, which features Silent Planet singer Garrett Russell, is from the band’s new album “Dissenter,” which will be released on May 1. The group said the following about the single:
“‘Liminal’ expands on the melodic, aggressive metalcore foundation of the record while leaning into the punk and hardcore influences that shaped our early sound. Featuring soaring melodic guitar leads and a powerful guest vocal from Garrett Russell of Silent Planet, the song feels both familiar and forward-moving — drawing a clear line from ‘Attack of the Wolf King’ into the present. Lyrically, ‘Liminal’ explores the tension of being stuck between two truths, caught in a space where movement feels impossible.”
