  • Puddle Of Mudd Premiere “Firefly” Lyric Video

Puddle Of Mudd have shared a new lyric video for their song “Firefly.” You can check that out below. The track is from the band’s latest album “Kiss The Machine.”

    Frontman Wes Scantlin commented:

“I wrote ‘Firefly’ as a tribute to Lane Staley, Chester Bennington, Chris Cornell, and all the fallen soldiers who gave their lives. Their voices and sacrifices lit a fire in me, and I wanted this song to be a way of keeping their light alive.

They all struggled with demons most people couldn’t see, and the song is my way of recognizing that pain while keeping their light alive. I’ve been through my own battles too, and I’m in a better place now. I feel lucky to still be here. I’m a lucky dude. Music heals me, and I hope it heals others as well.”

He went on to say it also focuses on childhood nostalgia:

“I miss my grandma. She used to kick us kids out of the kitchen before supper and send us outside, where we’d catch fireflies in jars and turn them into makeshift lanterns. Those sweet, beautiful memories stayed with me and are woven into this song. I wanted that feeling of joy and light to live inside the song alongside the sadness. The Firefly is that spark of hope we hold onto, even in the darkest times.”

  • The Pretty Reckless Announce New Holiday EP “Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas”

The Pretty Reckless have announced a new holiday EP titled “Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas.” The effort will receive a digital release on Halloween (October 31) and a physical release on November 14.

“Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas” Track Listing:

    01. “Intro”
    02. “Where Are You Christmas?”
    03. “I Wanna Be Your Christmas Tree”
    04. “Christmas Is Killing Me”
    05. “Blues On Christmas”
    06. “When We Were Young”
    07. “Christmas, Why Can’t I Find You?”

The first single, a newly reimagined version of “Where Are You Christmas” can be found below. Singer Taylor Momsen commented on the single, which she originally sang as Cindy Lou Who in the 2000 film “How The Grinch Stole Christmas”:

“Revisiting ‘Where Are You Christmas’ 25 years later feels like coming home to a part of myself I hadn’t seen in a long time. I was just a child when I first sang it, and I never could’ve imagined the way the song, and the film, would stay with people for so long and unknowingly shape my career path as an adult. Recording it now, with all the life I’ve lived in between, I hear it through a different lens.. but the heart of it is the same. It’s about wonder, hope, and holding on to the magic — something I think we all need more than ever.”

  • CKY Release New Song “Can’t Stop Running”

CKY have released a new song titled “Can’t Stop Running.” You can stream that track below:

Vocalist/guitarist Chad I Ginsburg said the following:

“This song has been a favorite of ours since it was written and demoed, and it’s remained one of the standouts. It will be played on tour and we’re very proud of it. The rest of the upcoming tracks we’ll be releasing are all over the map — however, this one happens to be one of our favorites. It has the perfect happy/sad feel, and shows real progression and growth in writing. This is a song for everyone — not just CKY diehards.”

    Drummer Jess Margera also commented:

“I must have heard this song about 2,000 times since we recorded it, and somehow I still get pumped when it comes on shuffle.” An official music video for the song will arrive online in the weeks to come.”

This news comes just ahead of the band’s UK/Ireland tour. Fiend Without A Face were originally set to join the group on that trek, but have since dropped off following Brent Hinds’ death. CKY added the following about that:

Saint Asonia (Three Days Grace, Staind, etc.) have released a new cover of Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid.” You can check that out below. The band said the following about the single:

“We actually recorded this cover years ago while we were recording the ‘Extrovert’ EP. It didn’t end up on the EP, and when we recently lost Ozzy, we all talked, and decided now was the time to put it out there. It’s just our own little tribute to the band and the man who changed the landscape of heavy music forever, and opened the door for bands like us. We love you Oz.”
