Touché Amoré have shared Youth Code’s remix of “Palm Dreams.” That track is from 10th anniversary deluxe edition of “Stage Four,“ which will be released on April 10. The band commented:
“When we first started shooting around ideas for what to include with this release, @nicksteinhardt had the idea to approach @youthcodeforever to remix ‘Palm Dreams‘ because the early demos had a pummeling and goth feel to it. What they were able to do with our song blew our minds. We are so thrilled to share this with you.”

XCOMM, the teenage hardcore project featuring Revel Ian, the son of Anthrax’s Scott Ian, have announced a new album titled “Time To Burn.” The effort was produced by Ross Robinson and it will be available on May 22. A video for the latest single, “Borrowed Time,” can be found below:
“Ross Robinson transformed us into musical weapons that will blow your head off when you play our record.”
Frontman Michael Gatto continued:
“I’ll forever be grateful for having the opportunity to record this album, the whole process from tracking to mixing was truly incredible. ‘Borrowed Happiness‘ is one of my favorite tracks on the record, shooting the music videos with Darren and all the dudes in the van was super cool and I love when we play this one live.”
Robinson added:
“Nothing brings me more satisfaction as a producer than sharing that undeniable life force of untainted expression…XCOMM, being the youngest band I’ve ever worked with, I had to nickname the studio sessions as “daycare.” It was so fun and alive throughout the whole process. Made me realize on another level how important the pulse of youth truly is.”

Vana has premiered a new song titled “In Your Name.” The singer commented:
“Falling in love is painful. Where there is equal love, there will inevitably be equal loss. Sometimes you fall in love even when it hurts you. Sometimes, loving someone you know is bad for you hurts less than grieving the loss of that love. ‘In Your Name‘ demonstrates how far some would go in the name of love, no matter how toxic that love may be.”
Draconian have premiered a new video for their new song “Misantrophe River.” You can check that out below. The track is from the band’s new album, “In Somnolent Ruin,” which will be released on May 8.
Vocalist Ander Jacobsson commented:
“‘Misanthrope River’ was the first song written for this album. The initial idea goes back to the early days of Under a Godless Veil, but it remained dormant until work on this record began. It’s an emotional gothic doom track- fairly minimalist, yet expansive in feel, with subtle touches that hint at post-metal and give the atmosphere a broader sense of depth. There’s a suggestion of something ancient and mysterious running through it. Although interactive, at its core, the song deals with separation and isolation in a world where the larger truth has been kept from you and how those feelings slowly turn into resentment. You’re pushing against the current wading upstream while doubting the way forward. In that struggle you’ll be grasping at straws for any sense of peace while unintentionally shutting out the one closest to you. Shot in the Faroe Islands, the video places its actors within vast, striking landscapes. It was directed by Gaui H., the same director behind ‘Cold Heavens.’”
During a recent interview with Metal Nation, Down’s Kirk Windstein offered another update on the band’s new album. According to him, the group are “hoping to have a release by October.”
Windstein said the following:
“It’s done. It’s been recorded. The process of trying to find… ‘Cause we kind of self-produced it, so it’s not that we’re looking for a producer. The work is done. We just need to find the right person to mix it properly. So that’s what we’re looking at right now. But we’re hoping to have a release by October or something, I would think.”
He also discussed the songwriting process:
“It’s been amazing. It really clicked — when we started writing for this new record, it was like we were back in the ’90s or something, writing the ‘NOLA’ record [debut DOWN album]. It’s, like, everybody’s got ideas. One guy’s got a riff and then somebody’s got something that works with that riff. We also have a situation where Jimmy Bower, who plays guitar in EYEHATEGOD, he really started out as a drummer. I always joke with him — it’s not even a joke; it’s true — I’m, like, ‘Dude, you’re a way better drummer than you are a guitar player. But you’re perfect for EYEHATEGOD,’ which is the only band he plays [guitar] in. But Jimmy can write killer riffs. Our bass player Pat does. And the thing a lot of people don’t know is how much Phil Anselmo is such a great songwriter and arranger, really, but he’s a great riff writer. And I think three of the 10 songs on the record are pretty much his songs; every part is his. And we’re, like, ‘This is great.’ We add a little something to it here and there.”
Turnstile’s Brendan Yates is featured on a new American Football song titled “No Feeling.” A video for the track can be found below. American Football’s new self-titled album will be released on May 1.
American Football’s Mike Kinsella commented:
“Brendan came into the studio to sing along to a ‘gang vocal’ call-and-response part I’d written for the chorus of ‘No Feeling.’ I had imagined his voice would be one of many voices scream-singing it, and was excited for it to be a sort of Easter Egg on the album. But after tracking the original parts, he asked if he could try a higher harmony that he was hearing.
As soon as he started singing it, all of our jaws dropped, and we all were looking at each other like ‘Oh shit! THAT’S the dude from Turnstile!’ His voice is so singular, and once he sang the part in his range, it was clear that the part now belonged to him and him alone…”
Directors Cady Buche and Travis Barron added:
“Our goal with music videos is to tell a story that captures what we think and feel while listening to the song. When we listened to ‘No Feeling‘ for the first time, we thought a lot about mysterious places like outer space and the bottom of the ocean—they’re beautiful and they also kind of freak you out.
The music also brought to mind the idea of going down with the ship or a sense of crushing inevitability. Then we thought, what if you flipped that? What if you opened on a sunken ship and that was the beginning? What if this sunken ship were a thriving habitat for ghosts who live there? What if something came along that jeopardized their beautiful afterlife?”
As previously reported, Poison drummer Rikki Rockett recently claimed the band scrapped their “Look What The Cat Dragged In” 40th anniversary tour after singer Bret Michaels requested six times the money of his bandmates. However, Michaels denied those claims and said that the trek would be happening next year. Now, during a new appearance on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk,” Michaels doubled down on the idea of a 2027 run.
Michaels said the following:
“We’re hoping for ’27, ’cause I know it’s a big question. I think — I really strongly think ’27, without going into details yet, is going to be a good reunion year for Poison. I think it’s gonna be awesome.”
He also addressed Rockett’s claims:
“Most people like the drama. I’m an anti-drama guy. I love the guys. I think ’27 is gonna be great. Rikki is my brother. And you’re allowed to agree and you’re allowed to disagree, but we’re gonna go out there and make it an incredible [tour], honestly. If ’27 all works out here … we’ll jump on the phone, get the whole band on there, or at least me and Rikki just talking it up and be able to lay out some dates and bring a great reunion tour. But I’m grateful for Poison and I love my brothers and and sisters in the BMB [Bret Michaels Band], and I don’t see any reason we can’t do both and make it great.”
