  • Soundgarden Inducted Into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame By Jim Carrey, Perform Live With Taylor Momsen, Brandi Carlile, Etc.

    Last night (November 8), Soundgarden were among the inductees during the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, CA. The band were inducted by actor/comedian Jim Carrey, who was also joined by Lilly Cornell Silver, the daughter of the late Chris Cornell. The band also took the stage for a live performance of “Rusty Cage” with Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless) and Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) and a live performance of “Black Hole Sun” with Brandi Carlile, Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains), and Momsen. Original bassist Hiro Yamamoto took part as well. Furthermore, Cornell’s other daughter, Toni Cornell, and Nancy Wilson (Heart) also performed an acoustic cover of “Fell On Black Days.” You can see footage of all that below:

  • Tesla Are Working On A New Covers Album

    During a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk,” Tesla guitarist Frank Hannon revealed that the band are working on a new covers album. The effort is expected to feature tracks from artists like Supertramp, The Temptations, and the Climax Blues Band.

    Hannon said the following:

    “Well, you were talking about [Tesla frontman] Jeff Keith being a singer who can still sing compared to a lot of our other comrades from our era. And so we’re doing a collection of songs that showcase Jeff Keith’s singing ability. And it’s coming out really great, man. Some really obscure classic songs that you would not expect to hear from Tesla. And it’s centered around his ability to sing and his soulfulness in his voice. [Tesla bassist] Brian Wheat has been working really hard at producing it. These guys were just in the studio for a week. I did some recording in [Las] Vegas in my hotel room with Jeff, and we’re working on it. It’s a work in progress.”

    He also added:

    “[Supertramp’s ‘Give a Little Bit’ is] one of the new ones we’re doing. And we’re doing another version of [Climax Blues Band’s] ‘I Love You’, which got millions of views on Tesla’s Spotify, I think, or YouTube or something. So that’s almost like one of our own hits, is the song ‘I Love You’. But there’s some really obscure tracks on this new batch of recordings — songs by The Temptations… Jeff picked most of ’em. And Brian, like I said, Brian’s been spearheading this project.”

  • Vulvodynia’s Zion Bittenbender Exits Current Tour Following Sexual Assault Allegations

    As previously reported, Vulvodynia’s new singer Zion Bittenbender was recently accused of sexual assault by a former partner. As such, the vocalist, who recently denied the claims, will now be heading home early from the band’s tour.

    Vulvodynia commented:

    “Official Statement from Vulvodynia:

    Following the recent allegations circulating online involving our vocalist, Zion Bittenbender, we want to provide an update regarding our touring plans.

    After careful discussion, Zion will be returning home from our current tour in Asia to focus on addressing these matters through the appropriate legal channels. Handling this responsibly would be extremely difficult while continuing to tour internationally, so this decision has been made in everyone’s best interests.

    Lwandile Prusent, who originally fronted Vulvodynia and has since been performing on guitar, will resume vocal duties for the remainder of 2025 to ensure our commitments are fulfilled.

    We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support while this situation is handled properly and respectfully.”

  • The Rockett Mafia (Poison, Etc.) Sign With Pavement Entertainment

    The Rockett Mafia, the project featuring drummer Rikki Rockett (Poison), vocalist/guitarist Brandon Gibbs (Devil City Angels), guitarist/vocalist Mick Sweda (BulletBoys), and bassist Michael Adams (Puddle Of Mudd), have just signed with Pavement Entertainment. The deal covers live shows, merch, and new music releases. Rockett commented:

  • Militia Vox Premieres “It’s Only Love” Music Video

    Militia Vox has premiered a new video for her cover of Bryan Adams and Tina Turner’s “It’s Only Love.” You can check that out below. As previously reported, the track finds the singer joined by Living Colour’s Corey Glover and Vernon Reid and Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt. Militia Vox commented:

    “Corey and I initially shot footage with green screen, but the reality of getting all four of us in a room to do this video was not feasible — Living Colour and Extreme tour a lot, I perform a lot, Nuno and Vernon played Ozzy’s [Osbourne] farewell concert, etc. Everyone has been crazy busy. So, the best solution was to use A.I. to create something otherworldly. I worked with an A.I. creator and together we fulfilled my concept and created something unique and cool. A.I. can be used to deceive or to achieve. Here, we achieved. It’s A.I. used for good”

  • Edenbridge Premiere “Where The Wild Things Are” Music Video

    Edenbridge have premiered a new video for their new song “Where The Wild Things Are.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Set The Dark On Fire,” which will be released on January 16. The single “addresses the earth as a living being, manifested in the primal feminine power of the character Aleen.” Sabine Edelsbacher commented:

  • Zakk Wylde Says Ozzy Osbourne Wanted To Make A New Album With Him Before His Death

    During an interview with NJ.com, Zakk Wylde confirmed that Ozzy Osbourne was hoping to record a new album with him before his death. The guitarist said the following:

    “He was texting me, ‘Zakk, let’s do another record. Because I really loved it when you were going through your Allman Brothers, Skynyrd phase when we did ‘No More Tears’. It’s heavy but it’s more melodic. It’s not pummeling heavy.’ So I said, ‘All right, Oz. Whatever you want.’”

  • Eric Singer Added To “KISS Kruise: Landlocked In Vegas” Event

    Eric Singer has been added to KISS’ upcoming “KISS Kruise: Landlocked In Vegas” event. The drummer will be joining vocalist/bassist Gene Simmons, vocalist/guitarist Paul Stanley, and guitarist Tommy Thayer for a Q&A session and their unmasked acoustic and electric sets. As previously reported, the convention will take place at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas on November 14-16 and it will also feature: Bruce Kulick (ex-KISS), Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini (RATT set), Sebastian Bach (ex-Skid Row), Quiet Riot, Black ‘N Blue, Kuarantine, Mr. Speed, KISS Nation, School of Rock, Craig Gass, and DJ Noiz. Producer Bob Ezrin, photographer Lynn Goldsmith, manager Doc McGhee, and KISS Army founders Bill Starkey and Jay Evans will make appearances as well. In addition to live music, the event will also include Q&As, artist panels, KISS karaoke, KISS trivia, meet and greets, a KISS lookalike competition, etc.

  • Arch Enemy, Anthrax, Etc. Members Share New Cover Of Soundgarden’s “The Day I Tried To Live”

    Metal Allegiance’s Mark Menghi, Anthrax’s Charlie Benante, and Arch Enemy’s Alissa White-Gluz have released a new cover of Soundgarden’s “The Day I Tried To Live” as part the Chris Cornell tribute project King Ultramega. A portion of the proceeds from the track, which features Soundgarden’s own Kim Thayil, will be donated to MusiCares.

    All four musicians commented:

    Thayil:

    “I believe that the personal exploration that came out of my accepting the invitation from Mark, and King Ultramega, to participate in these recordings, allowed me to open myself up to the creative risks of sharing an emotive and artistically intimate experience with other creative individuals, and that this has proved to be rewarding and encouraging, for me, of future similar collaborations.”

    Menghi:

    “It was a bit nerve racking for me to go in and record this track knowing Kim was going to be on this song, as it’s his band’s song to begin with. In addition, it was equally important for me to keep it true to the original so Alissa had a strong foundation to deliver her magic. ‘What would Chris think?’ was the question that kept repeating in my head over and over.”

    White-Gluz:

    “I felt that I needed to try to embody [Cornell’s] unique power and swagger when delivering the vocals here. He has always had such a remarkable way of wording things; ‘I stole a thousand beggars’ change and gave it to the rich’ – just so, so good. He always managed to grab our attention with narrative and keep our interest with thoughtful word choice and intriguing messages.”

    Benante:

    “This is one of my favorite Soundgarden songs. I just love everything about the song. I especially love the ending, I never expected it to end the way it ends. It’s just a beautiful piece of music. Matt’s playing on this tune really compliments the song so much. I just tried to stay true to that.”
