Thy Art Is Murder drummer Jesse Beahler recently underwent emergency surgery for appendicitis. As such, the band have been forced to pull out of this year’s Chaos & Carnage Tour.

The group commented:

“Hi folks,

As you may have seen, we have had to withdraw from the Chaos And Carnage Tour. We know how much this tour meant to a lot of you and we don’t take that lightly.

On the way to the airport, to fly to the states for rehearsals, Jesse began experiencing severe abdominal pain. He was taken to urgent care and referred immediately to the ER, where he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and underwent emergency surgery. In all of this, the lucky part is it hit at the beginning of our 20 hour journey and not somewhere over the Pacific.

Jesse came through his surgery well and is recovering, but has been medically advised to not fly or perform for six weeks. We are incredibly grateful to the medical teams responsible for his diagnosis and care.

Jesse’s focus now is making a full recovery so he’s ready to hit the studio with us through June and July.
