CKY Premiere “Replaceable” Music Video

CKY have premiered a new video for their song “Replaceable,” via Loudwire. This track is from the band’s latest album “The Phoenix.”

The band commented:

“The video for ‘Replaceable‘ captures just how ridiculous the whole process of making a music video is and how bands have so many bad ideas pitched to them so we figured we put a bunch of them into one video. It’s a comical look about our hunt to find an average director to shoot a decent music video and the struggle that ensued. Enjoy!”

CKY Premiere New Song “Head For A Breakdown”

CKY have premiered a new song titled “Head For A Breakdown,” via Consequence Of Sound. This track will appear on the band’s new album “The Phoenix,” which is set to be released on June 16.

Chad I Ginsburg commented:

“In a sense, it’s a song about taking things too far when you darn right know it won’t end well but you do it anyway. Go figure. The mid solo section is an epic break unlike any we have done in the past. Very proud of this song.”

CKY Premiere New Song “Replaceable”

CKY have premiered a new song titled “Replaceable,” via Loudwire. This track will appear on the band’s new album “The Phoenix,” which is set to be released on June 16.

Chad I Ginsburg commented:

“‘Replaceable‘ is a rockin track. Fucking solid. I would say it is generally about anyone that gets in your way, holds you back or slows your potential with their own blatant insecurity, fears or sickness. Individuals that you are ultimately and knowingly covering for as they selfishly sabotage you. And then realizing how much better you can be without any losers or life suckers as obstacles. Rock n roll power. Onward. Strength from within.”

CKY SIGNS WITH ENTERTAINMENT ONE MUSIC

CKY (Chad I Ginsburg, Jess Margera and Matt Deis) are proud to announce that they have signed a worldwide record deal with Entertainment One Music (eOne Music) with plans to release a brand new full length album this summer!

“We are thrilled to be working with one of the most progressive record labels in the music business today,” says vocalist/guitarist Chad I Ginsburg. ”CKY are looking forward to a long partnership in great music for the entire world with eOne!”

CKY has a full touring schedule lined up and are primed and ready to take the US, UK, and Canada by storm. First the band will be heading to the UK this May for a thirteen show run, several of which are already sold out. They will then be heading to Canada in June for ten key shows from Quebec all the way to Vancouver, followed by a summer-long trek across the United States as part of the 2017 Vans Warped Tour!

We’ll be sharing much more news on the upcoming brand new CKY record very soon, in the meantime the band is excited and ready to hit the road and hang with their extended family and friends, the CKY Alliance. See you at the shows!

CKY Discuss Split With Daniel Davies, Announce Canadian Dates

CKY have offered some more insight into their split with Daniel Davies. According to Jess Margera, Davies left the group to focus on a project with his step-father, film director John Carpenter.

Margera told Gorilla Flicks the following:

“It’s funny, because we did a whole album with Daniel, and then John Carpenter—the famous film director—is his stepdad. So he started working with John and they put that whole tour together and they’re still touring with John Konesky on guitar from Tenacious D. They have a killer band.”

“We wrote six or seven songs, but then we scrapped them because he said, ‘Look, I’ve got this John Carpenter thing, it’s my stepdad…,”’ and I’m like, ‘Absolutely, man, go do it. It’s family’ We were going to try and put one or two of those songs on this new record, but then we just said fuck it and started over. So this album is all fresh, brand-new stuff—even though we have another album pretty much on the shelf.

Maybe one day we can revisit some of that stuff and give it a different name, because it was killer material in my opinion. Never say never. But that situation couldn’t have worked out any better, because it sort of forced Chad to step up to the vocal mic, which is where that guy needs to be. When we recorded the new album I was just thinking, ‘Holy shit, this sounds massive, why didn’t we do this years ago?!’”
