Kirk Windstein Says Down’s New Album Will Be Released “Around September-ish” 2026
During a recent appearance on the Pod Scum podcast, Down’s Kirk Windstein offered an update on the band’s new album. According to him, the effort will likely arrive “around September-ish” next year. Windstein said the following:
“Yes. Later than sooner, but I don’t really see why it can’t get out, say, by September, around September-ish. Because Down’s on Nuclear Blast, along with [Corrosion Of Conformity], who have an amazing new record coming out April 2nd. So we can’t put Down, even if it’s ready, we can’t put it out too close to that. And the label’s not gonna wanna do that anyway. We wouldn’t do it anyway. But C.O.C. needs to come out and let everybody get blown away for a good bit. And when the water settles a little bit, we fucking give ’em a double whammy and throw out the Down.”

Sick Of It All’s Lou Koller On His Cancer Battle: “I’m Kind Of At A Stalemate”
Sick Of It All frontman Lou Koller has shared a new health update amid his battle with cancer. According to him, he is currently “at a stalemate.”
Koller said the following:
“Hey, everybody. What’s up? It’s Lou. It’s been a while. To give you an update, there’s not really much to tell. The treatments are going okay. They’re not really doing much. I’m kind of at a stalemate where the tumors aren’t growing and they’re not spreading, but they’re not shrinking either. So the plan is to keep going with the treatments and see what happens. And after that, we’ll make a new plan.
I wanna take this opportunity to thank my brother Matt and my sister-in-law Connie for taking such good care of me, letting me live in their house and helping me through this. I wanna thank all of you for all the positive messages, the prayers and all of the well wishes. Thank you very much. Keep ’em coming, keep ’em coming. And I hope y’all have a great Christmas and a happy New Year. I hope next year’s better year for all of us. Take care of each other, all right?! See you around.”

Coheed And Cambria Premiere “One Last Miracle” Music Video
Coheed And Cambria have premiered a new video for their song “One Last Miracle.” This track is from the band’s latest album “The Father Of Make Believe.”
The following was said about the clip:
“The visual features Santa Claus receiving a letter from a child whose mother was taken by ICE, asking for her to be returned for Christmas.
The visuals for ‘One Last Miracle’ are the sequel to Coheed and Cambria’s 2019 video ‘The Unheavenly Christmas Carol,’ which is the official music video to the band’s song, ‘Toys.‘ In ‘The Unheavenly Christmas Carol,’ we see Santa try to teach an overweight orange-colored-president a lesson. It worked – for a term.
Fast forward 6 years, Santa sees it’s gotten so much worse and is no longer fucking around. He makes peace with his normally evil cousin, Krampus, to help him not only return the child’s mother, but to end this nonsense for all.

Tera Wray’s Former Roommate Voices Support For Matt Zane’s Unauthorized Wayne Static, Etc. Documentary
As previously reported, Matt Zane is currently working on a new documentary focusing on Wayne Static (Static-X) and Tera Wray. However, the families of the late married couple objected to the film and even hit Zane with a cease and desist. Despite this, the filmmaker has vowed to continue with the project. He has since received support from Wray’s former roommate, Jay’e Jones, as well.
Jones said the following:
“I am only sharing the following because I feel a responsibility to honor the wishes of my friends Wayne Static and Tera Wray Static.
During the last years of Wayne and Tera’s lives, I spent a great deal of time with them. In numerous conversations, they expressed how excited they were about creating a documentary about their lives together, with their close friend Matt Zane. They trusted him, and they believed in his vision. They chose HIM. This wasn’t a casual or fleeting idea, it was something they discussed repeatedly and with great enthusiasm.
After Wayne passed, Tera became even more dedicated to the project. She saved music, personal recordings, things deeply meaningful to both of them…with the intention that the material would be used in the documentary Matt would create. When she moved in with me, she made sure I knew exactly where those materials were and who was supposed to tell their story. I thought it was odd that she was so adamant in my knowing of those details, but in retrospect I suppose she knew there was a good chance that her depression could possibly overtake her…and I should know in case anything ever happened to her? I’ll never know. I did however, take that responsibility VERY seriously, especially after her suicide, which was insanely alarming and traumatic for me.
After Tera passed away, Wayne‘s incredibly sweet parents contacted me, and asked that I give them everything Tera had saved that was Wayne‘s property regarding his music. I immediately obliged. I gave them everything, in one box. Music, some personal belongings, etc. I also passed on the information that both Wayne and Tera had intentions to use some of that material (Wayne‘s newer solo recordings, etc.) for a documentary they were planning with Matt. After that, it was completely out of my hands.
Years later, when I was asked to participate in the original documentary, I agreed, because I believed I was honoring Wayne and Tera’s wishes. That is why it was shocking for me to learn that Matt was no longer involved with that original project, and that their story was being reshaped without him (and their specific wishes.) I understand that people have strong opinions about Wayne, Tera, and their past. But I want to be absolutely clear about one thing: Wayne and Tera wanted Matt Zane to tell their story.
Matt’s new documentary is the only project that reflects their original intention- to share their story honestly, with all its joy and its struggles, told by someone who loved them as a friend, not as a narrative opportunity. I ask only that people remain open-minded to that truth.
This isn’t about choosing sides. It’s about respecting Wayne and Tera’s wishes.”
