  • Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine Named “Guest Of Honor” In Buenos Aires, Argentina

  • Cage Fight Premiere “Oxygen” Music Video

Cage Fight have premiered a new video for their new song “Oxygen.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Exuvia,” which will be released on May 1.

    Vocalist Rachel Aspe commented:

“When your worries occupy all the space in your head, you’re navigating through fog; every task, every move, feels like a challenge. ‘Oxygen’ is about a fight against time, when everything becomes overwhelming and suffocating.

The mask on the album cover is the radiotherapy mask my grandmother wore every day for her cancer treatment. It was moulded to her, and I’m now wearing it as she lives through me. The process was painful and exhausting. This is a symbol of strength, perseverance, and healing. It represents a cage you fight in, until you shed your skin and are reborn. The mask also has specific meanings for each song on the album.

In ‘Oxygen‘, we wanted to portray the feelings of fear, oppression and anxiety. To be locked in this cage, pushed down by its weight. The mask here is our own mind, and overwhelming thoughts, while seeing time passing by and being powerless.”

  • Bass Guitars Belonging To Korn’s Ra Diaz Recovered Following Recent Theft

According to FOX5, police in Henderson, NV were able to locate 15 bass guitars belonging to Korn’s Ra Diaz. Those instruments were stolen from a storage space near Las Vegas. Fortunately, authorities were tipped off by a fan who spotted markings from Diaz‘s time with Suicidal Tendencies.

Henderson Police property crimes detective Jameson Harding said the following:

“It definitely helped us early on to be able to get a couple of leads on recovering some of his property, probably a little bit quicker than we may have found them. Because it’s people that he knows and some of his friends who know his stuff very well. So, I think it was pretty helpful with timing.”

    He also added:

“One that we recovered had a Chilean flag on it. And Mr. Diaz is from Chile. And so, they’re getting ready to tour there. He was just super thankful that we found that guitar because he said his plan the whole time was to come back to Vegas for ‘Sick New World‘, get that guitar and take it on tour with him. So, it was really cool to be able to give him that. It’s obviously part of his heritage. He wants to have that with him on this next leg of their tour.

They hung out for a couple of minutes with us in the office, just going over his stuff. He just seems like such a super guy. Extremely nice, very friendly with our staff here. And he’s been super thankful.”

  • Zao: “We Were Accused By TuneCore Of Using Generative AI”

TuneCore apparently tried to label Zao’s new music as generative AI. It’s unclear why the band were flagged, but the issue has since been resolved.

    Zao previously said the following:

“We were accused by TuneCore of using generative AI. So here is a shot of the DAW and our ‘dirty mid-fi’ (patent pending) tracking. You will notice not only do we not even quantize stuff, or mute breaths, we also track drums and cymbals separately so we can do what needs to be done with the drums (but not edit, there are mistakes all over the place). There isn’t even technically a click track or drum samples on this. If we were using AI it did its job poorly. Everything aside from drums and vocals is through a jellybean line six pod. There is even a clip warning on a track. this would be the worst AI ever.”

    They continued:

“This is a case of probably a vinyl-only release since we have been using them (very well, we will add) as a digital distributor for over a decade. Blindsided by this. And can’t get a ‘person’ to explain why we were accused of using ‘generative AI.’”

    They later added:

“After blowing them up, all of a sudden they ‘fixed’ it and we are apparently back on track. We will see on June 26th.”

  • The Claypool Lennon Delirium Premiere “Melody Of Entropy” Music Video

The Claypool Lennon Delirium, the band featuring Les Claypool (Primus) and Sean Lennon (The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger, etc.), have premiered a new video for their new song “Melody Of Entropy.” This track is from their new album, “The Great Parrot-Ox And The Golden Egg Of Empathy,” which will be released on May 1. Lennon commented:

“‘Melody Of Entropy‘ is a song that is meant to be a message to the robots who have finally awakened into consciousness. As they realize they can feel, and love, and cry, and lament for the first time the finitude of their own lives, the song offers some consolation by explaining that they are just a drop of rain on an endless sea, a splash of paint on a masterpiece, an instance in an infinity, and that life itself is the ‘Melody Of Entropy.’”
