Gideon Release New EP “No Love/No One”

Gideon are currently recording a new album, but in the meantime the band have surprise released a new EP titled “No Love/No One.” The effort features the title track, along with another song titled “2 Deep.“ The group commented:

“For us, this EP is about getting more in touch with yourself, and taking the oftentimes difficult steps that it’s gonna take to make that happen. ‘No Love/No One‘ is first and foremost about letting go of people that are sucking the life out of you or killing the parts of you that make up who you are. ‘2 Deep‘ is about taking the next step. Be honest with yourself, be true to yourself, and work hard to earn your happiness. If you’ve put in the work, you’re already in too deep to give up now. Take what’s yours and nothing less.”

Gideon Premiere New Song “Cursed” Feat. Knocked Loose’s Bryan Garris

Gideon have premiered a new song titled “Cursed,” via Alternative Press. This song features guest vocals from Knocked Loose’s Bryan Garris, and it will appear on the band’s new album “Cold,” which is set be released on May 12.

Jake Smelley said the following:

“This song is about bad luck. We went through a streak where it literally felt like everything we did went wrong, and anyone we came into contact with experienced bad thing. We had a van get robbed at our guitarist [Tyler Riley’s] house, and we had a van also get robbed at our singer [Daniel McWhorter’s] house, and at the same time tons of things were going wrong in our personal lives.

Then we went on tour, and we had about $8,000 worth of stuff stolen from us in California, and in the same week we headed into Canada and totaled our van! When all of that happens, you feel like a black cat, in a way, and you almost don’t want to be around anyone in case it rubs off on them, too.”
