  • Dayseeker’s Ramone Valeiro To Sit Out European/UK Tour

Dayseeker bassist/vocalist Ramone Valerio has revealed that his wife recently gave birth to twins. As such, he will be missing the band’s European/UK tour with Motionless In White.

    Valerio commented:

    “Hey everyone, Ramone here

For those who are unaware, my beautiful wife and I brought twin baby boys into the world on January 6th and we want to say thank you for all the love we’ve been getting, we feel so blessed our family has grown by 2. Their mom did so good and is resting and recovering at home.

Dayseeker has a UK/EU tour coming up w/ Motionless In White in February but I’ve realized it’s really important for me to be at home since my boys are only days old at this point. I’m going to take this time to support my family and be there for them. Rest assured – I will be returning in May for our North American headlining run!

Our good friend and long time crew member Devin Chance will be filling in for me. He’s been working with us for years and I’m thankful he’s stepping in for this tour. Your continued support means the world to me and my family. For those asking how to help, we’ve set up a registry for Lucas and Adrian at the link in our bio. Thanks for understanding and for all the love”

  • BLKIIBLK Records Sign Cro-Mags, Forbidden, Nunslaughter, Thrown Into Exile, & Unto Others

Frontiers Label Group imprint BLKIIBLK Records have announced some new signings. Cro-Mags, Forbidden, Nunslaughter, Thrown Into Exile, and Unto Others will now be working with the label.

Mike Gitter, global head of A&R for Frontiers Label Group, said the following:

“I’m proud to announce my joining the Frontiers Label Group team and helming BLKIIBLK. Frontiers is a company of passion. The mission statement is simple: to establish BLKIIBLK as a force on the heavy and extreme music spectrum that spans the gamut from the mainstays and driving forces of the genre to the most modern of metal to the grimiest of the underground. The common denominator is pushing boundaries with records and bands that are nothing short of vital, no matter what stage in their career.

This is just the beginning. Expect surprises at every turn, but the common denominator will remain pretty consistent. Expect everything to go for the throat.”

    All five bands also commented:

    Cro-Mags‘ Harley Flanagan:

“I’m looking forward to a new chapter for myself and Cro-Mags. I’ve never felt better in my life about my future, my music or my new partnership with BLKIIBLK. I’m ready to kick ass.”

    Forbidden:

“When Forbidden was ‘reborn’ in 2023, we knew we were going to write new music. That excited us. We also knew that we were in no rush to be signed or obligated to anything that didn’t feel ideal. Well… that situation has finally revealed itself.

We are elated to announce that Forbidden has joined forces with one of our industry’s biggest champions of heavy music & our old friend, Mike Gitter at BLK II BLK / Frontiers (Megadeth, Biohazard)!

Mike recently left Century Media to take over A&R at BLK II BLK & envisioned Forbidden as his first signing. It’s the perfect home for all parties.

Forbidden & Mike Gitter all have histories & wealth of experiences to pull from. We’re older, wiser & learned from our collective pasts. This situation couldn’t be any more perfect. We’re presently recording our first album in 16 years with enthusiasm & fire! Can’t wait to share it with everyone.”

    Nunslaughter‘s Don Of The Dead:

“We’re ready to start the next chapter of our blasphemy as a band. We’ve garnered our Satanic legions over the years and a countless number of releases. With the current lineup, we’ve taken Nunslaughter to some seriously insane places I never expected when I started this band as a teenager. We’re now taking things to a new level with our new congregation at BLKIIBLK while never turning our back on the underground.”

    Thrown Into Exile:

“We couldn’t be more happy to be working with Mike Gitter and BLKIIBLK Records, his A&R credits in metal are legendary and we look forward to what we will do together.”

    Unto Others:

“As we continue to work on our 4th full-length album as a band, we are happy to follow our good friend and talented A&R man, Mike Gitter to his new home at BLKIIBLK/Frontiers. May the coming year and upcoming album be a big one for all of us!”

  • Ivan Moody Is Not Rejoining Motograter, But He Did Buy The Band’s Trademarks

As previously reported, recent rumors seemed to suggest that Ivan Moody (Five Finger Death Punch) was planning to reunite with Motograter. However, he has since disputed those claims. Despite this, the frontman did decide to purchase the Motograter trademarks so they can’t be “abused or misused.”

Moody said the following in a deleted post:

“Through the years I’ve watched, the last two decades I’ve watched that project whittle out into dust on a memory. And it hurt. And knowing that there was so much involved with that and the way that there was so much potential and it was X’d out.”

“When [Noah “Shark” Robertson (Motograter drummer) and I] started talking, it became very evident to me that there was a lot of people in play. And there was a lot of crap, man. So I decided to buy it. And that’s what I did. I bought the trademark for Motograter and the Machine. And I patented it, the whole spiel. That way, nobody could take it anymore and it couldn’t be abused or misused.”

He also blasted former Motograter member Michael “The Kidd” Stewart for spurring the rumors:

“First and foremost, to Michael ‘The Kidd’ Stewart, you bottom-feeding bubbleheaded boob. How dare you step on my toes, spreading rumors and causing commotion. I was so pissed off when I read all that man. This Michael fucking Stewart guy. Who the fuck do you think you are dude? Fucking peon.”

  • The Casualties Premiere New Song “People Over Power”

The Casualties have premiered a new song titled “People Over Power.” Vocalist David Rodriguez had the following to say about the single:

“We’re getting stomped by the world, by the government, by the bad news. We want systemic change, total transformation, degradation to the state. ‘People over Power’: It’s as simple as it sounds.”

    Drummer Marc “Meggers” Eggers added:

“It’s a protest song through and through. We want the vibe to be: You listen, get angry, get your crew together, and get out on the streets.”

  • Story Of The Year Premiere “Disconnected” Video

Story Of The Year have premiered a new video for their new song “Disconnected.” This track is from the band’s new album, “A.R.S.O.N.” (“All Rage, Still Only Numb”), which will be released on February 13. Guitarist Ryan Phillips commented:

“‘Disconnected’ is one of those songs that nicely encapsulates where we are creatively these days: Big, anthemic vocals & massive guitar riffs over high energy drums. When I showed Colin the original version of the song, he loved everything besides the main guitar riff I had at the time. One day by chance I played him a song that I had planned for a solo record. It was this long piano piece that slowly gained momentum and then finally exploded into this really heavy low tuned whammy bar riff. He stopped the song and said ‘Dude, that’s the riff we need. We have to use that as the main riff for ‘Disconnected.’ He cut it together and it worked perfectly. Sometimes that’s how it goes!”

  • XCOMM Premiere “Fake ID” Video

XCOMM, the teenage hardcore project featuring Revel Ian, the son of Anthrax’s Scott Ian, have premiered a new video for their new song “Fake ID.” You can check that out below. The track will appear on the band’s upcoming album “Time To Burn.” Frontman Michael Gatto commented:

“’Fake ID’ rips! It’s about getting rejected from shows for being under 21 when all you want to do is check out a band. The video shoot was amazing — it was so funny to walk around town dressed as grandmas for a day. I thought we looked great and I love how the video concludes with us walking into the ocean…”
