Unto Others Release New EP “Strength II …Deep Cuts”

Unto Others have released a new EP titled “Strength II …Deep Cuts.” The effort features six tracks that were recorded during the band’s “Strength” sessions.

“Strength II …Deep Cuts” Track Listing:

01. “Sailing In The Darkness’
02. “The Fire Of Youth”
03. “Over Western Shores”
04. “Passion Rules The Game” (Scorpions cover)
05. “Change Of Heart” (Demo)
06. “When The Hammer Strikes’ (Demo)

Gabriel Franco commented:

“We wanted to do a double LP with ‘Strength’ back in 2021, considering we had like 25 demos when we first met up with Arthur [Rizk]. However, the label made us whittle it down to fit on a standard LP.

So we had to make the tough decision to cut a few songs we really liked. These were by no means ‘duds,’ in my opinion, they hold their weight with the rest of the songs on ‘Strength.’ We just had to make the most cohesive record we could. In the end, I think these songs will shine better this way, and I’m glad to finally have them out.”

Unto Others Premiere “Heroin” Music Video

Unto Others have premiered a new video for their song “Heroin.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Strength.” Gabriel Franco commented:

“Finally giving this song its moment in the sun. This one was a weird one to write in that it just kind of happened in a couple hours. but was a solid accident. It has now become one of my favorite tracks on the record. Zev [Deans] and team knocked it out of the park.”

Unto Others Release “I Believe In Halloween” EP

Unto Others have released a new EP titled “I Believe In Halloween.” The effort features two new songs including “Out In The Graveyard” and “Dalmation.“ The band said the following about the new tracks:

“In “Out In The Graveyard” a young man dances with death during an unfortunate walk through the local cemetery, and finds out it is a very thin line indeed between reality and dream, dream and nightmare. The carnival’s in satan’s garden.

“Dalmatian“, presents us with a familiar character, mans best friend. Although he is not all that he seems. A son of privilege is compelled to murder under the dark command of a devilish dog, pushing us to ask ourselves, who is the servant, and who is the master? Listener beware…”

Unto Others To Release New Album “Strength” In September, Premiere “Downtown” Video

Unto Others have announced that they will be releasing their new album “Strength” on September 24 via Roadrunner Records. With this news, the band have also premiered a new video for their new song “Downtown”:

“Strength” Track Listing:

01. “Heroin”
02. “Downtown”
03. “When Will Gods Work Be Done”
04. “No Children Laughing Now”
05. “Destiny”
06. “Little Bird”
07. “Why”
08. “Just A Matter of Time”
09. “Hell Is For Children”
10. “Summer Lightning”
11. “Instinct”
12. “Strength”

Gabriel Franco said the following about the record:

“I wish I could say it came to me like a bolt of lightning, but the record was a process. A challenging process, to write, record and mix. It was 10 months from beginning to end, and the most time I’ve ever spent on an album. You can decide if that’s good or bad. Arthur did a great job giving the record an organic heavy sound and it was a privilege to work with him. What we have at the end is something I am extremely proud of, for better or worse, and a constant reminder to myself that we don’t do things because they are easy, we do them because they are hard.”

Unto Others Sign With Roadrunner Records, Premiere “When Will Gods Work Be Done” Video

Unto Others, the band formerly known as Idle Hands, have signed a new deal with Roadrunner Records. With this news, the group have also premiered a new video for their new song “When Will Gods Work Be Done.“

Vocalist/guitarist Gabriel Franco said the following about the band’s new deal:

“Our last full length came out over two years ago and much has changed, including the band and I, our name, etc… so I consider this a reintroduction of ‘us’ to those who connected with our music in the past, as well as a debut for the many who haven’t. We did our best, and that’s all we can do. So out of the frying pan, and into the fire, I think we have all been frying long enough.”

Roadrunner Records‘ SVP of A&R Dave Rath added:

“Having Unto Others join us at Roadrunner Records feels like a ‘welcome home’ to a family member we’ve been waiting for – for a very long time. Unto Others’ innovative combination of goth, rock and metal brings the genre to entirely new and unique places. They are pushing the genre beyond the expected to create a blend of heavy, dark, melodic songs combined with traditional metal we haven’t heard in quite some time. We are incredibly excited for this band to be part of the label’s storied legacy.”

Franco also discussed the new single with Decibel:

“I wrote the bulk of it in a couple hours one day. It was one of those songs, where your inhibitions take a backseat, and everything just comes together, for better or worse. Lyrically, it’s a song about evil. Things that shouldn’t happen but do. I prefer whoever’s listening hears whatever they want to hear, so I won’t get too deep into details, but it’s one of my favorite tracks on the record.”
