• Cobra Spell To Go On “Indefinite Hiatus”

Cobra Spell have revealed that they are going on “an indefinite hiatus.” As such, all of the band’s dates for 2026 have been cancelled.

    The group commented:

    “Dear fans,

Today we have to share some news with you that fills our hearts with sadness.

After a long period of reflection, as a band we have reached a point of no return that leads us to completely stop our musical activity (including all shows planned for 2026).

The core and backbone of the project needs to pause, and we believe that the best way to go through this moment is to put Cobra Spell on an indefinite hiatus.

We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all these years — If we have been able to create music, tour, and live unforgettable experiences, it has been largely thanks to you.

From the very first day Cobra Spell existed until today, every word, every message, every gesture of support and every smile we saw in front of the stage made this entire journey truly worth it.

We would like to deeply thank everyone in the industry who has accompanied us along the way — promoters, venues, technical crews, media, managers, photographers, and all the bands we had the chance to share the stage with.

We want to thank each and every musician who has been part of the band at some point throughout this journey.

Everything that begins eventually comes to an end, and today we have to say goodbye — at least for now.

Of course, our paths as musicians do not stop here.

We encourage you to keep following our continued musical career paths. We are soniaanubis, afunerailles and krisvega_ on any new projects and many beautiful things that are still to come.

Thank you for being part of this story.
We will always carry you with us. ❤️

    Forever yours,
    Cobra Spell 🐍”

  • Ghost Singer Tobias Forge On Upcoming Break: “Physically And Mentally I Need To Be Home”

During a recent interview with Full Metal Jackie, Ghost frontman Tobias Forge further explained his decision to take a break following the completion of the band’s current tour. He says “physically and mentally [he] need[s] to be home.”

Forge said the following when asked if he has hobbies or places he likes to go during downtime:

“All the above. Yeah. One, I have my family. Duh. Of course, everybody knows that. I’ve had two kids waiting at home with my wife for 15 years, and maybe that says something about me that it wasn’t a pushing enough factor during those years. Believe me, I felt bad, but I’ve definitely come to a point where not only do I need — I feel physically and mentally I need to be home, simply because they’re 17; they’re not gonna be around for an eon. And then the most acute factor here is the fact… Imagine you being a house builder, and you draw up houses, great ideas, but you’re also doing the permits and you’re also doing the tiles and you’re building everything and you’re sewing up all that [shit] and putting it all together. I don’t simply have an idea. And I’m out of tiles. I’m out of wood. I just don’t have it. So the only way for me to come up with a new idea and get some new inspiration is to just step away. It is as simple as that. But it doesn’t mean that I’m not doing anything. I have two film projects that I’m working on. Just before I left for tour, I was recording another album with another thing. So I have tons of stuff lined up for me [for] the coming years. And also hobbies that I have put aside a little, just because for the last 15 years GHOST has obviously been force majeure. Luckily, my family has been very supportive of that. They know that in order to sort of make this happen, I need to do this. And over the years I’ve been very worried about momentum and just keeping it going because I have so many ideas and I don’t wanna lose speed. And I just came to a point where I’m, like, I’m actually fine if the momentum is not there. It’s cool. I’m good. I feel good about that. If I lose it, okay.”

He continued when asked if his children understand the scope of what he’s doing:

“Of course. They’re 17. Of course they know what I’m doing. Of course they’re aware of… And we are very connected. We’re very good friends. We speak about anything. And they’re very aware of my thought processes and where I am, how I feel about things. And they’re big enough and vocalizing enough to be able to explain. And we can have a conversation about how they felt as kids, me being away a lot. But now they’re the ones sort of pushing me, like, ‘Yeah, it’s only three weeks left,’ whereas in the past it was always, like, when I was gonna be away for seven weeks or nine weeks, it was hard for them to fathom, of course, what that timeframe is. And there were a lot of moments where you had to sort of sneak out before they woke up and have one screaming child on the balcony, sort of, when you jump into the car. And that was not easy. But when you’re driven by a conviction, and I was convinced, and I am still convinced, that I did the right thing, of course. And luckily, now there’s no resentment that I know of me having done that. But now they’re the ones who are reasonable, and, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Let’s do that when you come home.’ Which is really encouraging, but that again is just… Well, again, it just happened to coincide with where I am mentally in life. It just feels like a good time to sort of, like, ‘All right. When I come back, we’ll start this new chapter, this new reality.’”

  • Former Arch Enemy Vocalist Angela Gossow Praises New Singer Lauren Hart, Says She’s “Down For Doing Single Shows”

Former Arch Enemy frontwoman Angela Gossow has taken to social media to praise the band’s new singer Lauren Hart (ex-Once Human). Notably, she also mentioned that she would be “down for doing single shows” with the band.

    Gossow said the following:

“@ohlaurenhart My sister at🖤 Such a warm and genuine human. We share the same taste in music, the same vocal technique and dedication to music, people and fitness. We have known each other personally since many years. Been following her journey with Once Human, was hoping for her breakthrough. Then I crossed my fingers for her joining another known metal band. Didn’t work out. She never gave up! Then I was looking into putting a new band together for her – thinking a cross over between Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy/ In Flames and Machine Head/ Once Human style. I asked her to send in various cover tracks to get a full picture on her vocal skills ( she crushed!) and started scouting for musicians fitting her talent. And then things happened in the Arch Enemy camp. I thought hard about rejoining the band. I looked at my life, my age, my still young children, my workload as the manager for @archenemyofficial. And the answer was no. Both emotionally and also rationally. We received many applications from great vocalists all over the world. I put Lauren forward to the guys. Michael connected. She recorded vocals in December 2025. She rose. Like a Phoenix to the sky. So intense. So glorious. She is Angela reincarnate. Exceeding my skills. Ready to last for decades. I am honoured and humbled to be working with her. Finally. 🖤 PS: All the best to Alissa! She is gonna kill it with her solo album! Wanted to do it since 2016. She has got some great female talent at her side and will leave her mark in the world of metal for sure:) PPS: yes, I am down for doing single shows😉😉😉”
