According to The Associated Press, The Wayne County Medical Examiner has officially ruled Chris Cornell’s (Soundgarden) death as a “suicide by hanging.” Cornell’s body was found in his hotel room at the MGM Grand Casino Hotel while he was on tour in Detroit, MI. He was 52. R.I.P.

Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) appeared on “CBS This Morning” earlier today (April 22) to play “The Promise,” which is a track he wrote for the film of the same name. You can see footage of him performing that song, as well as “Black Hole Sun” and “Higher Truth” below:
