Creed’s Scott Stapp Teams Up With Wooli And Trivecta For New Song “Light Up The Sky”

Creed’s Scott Stapp has teamed up with DJs/producers Wooli and Trivecta for a new song titled “Light Up The Sky.” You can check that out below:

Trivecta commented:

“This collab is definitely a ridiculously cool life moment. I grew up listening to Scott’s voice on the radio, so to get in a studio with him and bang out a song together was a super-awesome experience.”

Wooli continued:

“Sam and I built this song that we knew needed a strong vocal. We thought deep about what would sound good on the song and when we had the chance to work with Scott Stapp of Creed, we knew we were on to something.”

Stapp added:

“When I first heard the track, I instantly started recording melodies and lyrics. The piano, builds, crescendos, drops, and overall vibes just connected right away. I wanted to give voice to the idea that releasing life’s inevitable sadness, fear, or regret is the first step to reclaiming the kind of intense joy and passion that this track explodes with. The music brought to mind the story of the phoenix’s transformation — the phoenix sets itself on fire, burning down everything that no longer serves it. In the process, he lights up the sky. For me, it epitomizes one’s ability to evolve. I’m grateful for Wooli and Trivecta for reaching out. Here’s to blending two worlds and to unexpected opportunities that forge something beautiful and powerful.”

Scott Stapp (Creed) To Play Frank Sinatra In Upcoming Ronald Reagan Biopic

According to Billboard, Creed’s Scott Stapp will be playing Frank Sinatra in the new Ronald Reagan biopic “Reagan.” The frontman will be in a scene in which Sinatra is singing at the Ambassador Hotel’s Cocoanut Grove club in Hollywood as part of a fundraiser for Reagan’s second California gubernatorial campaign. Stapp said the following about that:

“Sinatra in performance mode was an exercise in restraint. He had this steely, stylish swagger and his sheer presence commanded a room. I was excited to join the cast and blown away by the on-set attention to detail, style, and overall production.”

Scott Stapp (Creed) Premieres “Survivor” Lyric Video

Scott Stapp (Creed) has premiered a lyric video for his song “Survivor.” This track is from his latest solo album “The Space Between The Shadows.”

Stapp commented

“‘Survivor’ is about a mindset when facing a challenge or adversity. Believing you will overcome and affirming you are a survivor, even in the midst of crisis. Positive affirmation, self-realization, speaking and believing things into reality. Having a survivor mindset during a crisis helps give you strength to keep fighting, enduring, maintaining courage and continuing to do what you have to do to make it to the other side, to overcome, to win, to survive.

He also added:

“To me, all survivors are heroes. If you’re working each day to overcome through the sheer force of faith, will, and strength, then you’re a hero. A survivor.”

Scott Stapp (Creed) Premieres New Song “Gone Too Soon”

Scott Stapp (Creed) has premiered a new song titled “Gone Too Soon” via Billboard. This track is from his new solo album “The Space Between The Shadows,” which will be released on July 19.

“Gone Too Soon” was partly inspired by the deaths of Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, etc.) and Chester Bennington (Linkin Park). Stapp said the following about that:

“Just as a human being my heart broke for their wives and for their children. I had that very human response of just sorrow, and then it went a step further into self-reflection. Man, that easily could’ve been my path, and on some occasions it almost was my path. It reminded me of where my life would go if I went back and returned to the life I led before.”

He continued:

“Somewhere around the time Chester passed, and we had already been reeling from Cornell’s passing, I was flipping through the news and saw the suicide rate for (U.S. military) vets was skyrocketing. And all these people are OD-ing from heroin, drug addictions, opioids. The school shootings. It was just a collection of things that all hit me at once. So it was inspired by a series of events that just came together to impact me as a human being, all at once, and then that song came to life.”
